As we all may already know by now, Cyberpunk and CDPR has been constantly under fire lately. I personally haven't played the game, but I plan to when it's on sale, and another reason of mine is because I'm uncomfortable playing first person games. That said, I'm still really interested in the game despite all the backlash and else.

Now my question to you all is this. Do you think with the semi downfall of CDPR's reputation and mixed reception (I don't know whether "mixed reception" is the correct term or not) of Cyberpunk will affect future AAA game to be released on GOG?

GOG have been getting pretty good (even though "good" is subjective, I know) AAA releases here. I'm thinking that the success of TW3 and the hype surrounding Cyberpunk release has a major contribution to that. And with all the backlash surrounding Cyberpunk and CDPR's reputation will make AAA publishers reluctant to do a GOG release. Or will they not?

I don't think it will change their minds.

As you said The Witcher 3 was a success and it definitely must have helped show major publishers that Gog has an userbase they could reach and is a viable platform. (Also that DRM-free doesn't mean "pirated so much it won't sell at all and it will be a financial disaster")
Cyberpunk, on the other hand, was a flop (until now), but the reasons for it are widely known to those publishers just as they are to us.

It would be very different if CP77 flopped for no reason, but the way it is those big publishers can be confident that as long as their AAA is not delivered in a poor Beta state it probably WILL meet sale expectations.

The 'failure' od CP2077 was mostly due to mismanagement more than anything else, hopefully they have learned from it

I'd think that would depend entirely on how well (or not well) these games by AAA publishers sold on gog. If they made a ton of money, I doubt that the AAA publishers would be averse to making more tons of money by releasing more games here.

Don't think it has nor will have an effect, because:

1. The major issues with Cyberpunk 2077 are limited to the console versions and GoG is a PC-only platform.

2. Even with refunds included Cyberpunk 2077 reportedly still sold 10,2 million copies on launch, making it the most successful digital launch ever.
Sales on GoG should have been at least equal if not more than on any other platform, which in return makes GoG a more likely platform to be considered for releases of similar calibre by other studios/publishers.

3. It might still take a while, but by the time the next big thing/potential candidate for a GoG release comes around, Cyberpunk 2077 is likely going to be in a better state than on launch, which, like in case of No Man's Sky and Hello Games, will also have positively affected CDPR's and by association, GoG's reputation by then.

I doubt Cyberpunk stinking up the place will have any effect on what big games make it here...

Not that it matters either way, GOG has already sabotaged future releases through the The Epic Store deal anyway.

Just watch, GOG will give users access to more AAA games in time, though Galaxy, DRM included, and the devs will start to see little reason to bring a DRM free build over to the actual storefront because "it's already on GOG"
