pkk234: Also the news thing is a big one. I didn't really notice it until you mentioned it, but every time I come to this site either on PC or mobile, I go straight to the bottom to see what's new.
Every time I come to GOG, I go straight to the forums. Every couple of days I see a thread about a newly released game and think "
Shit, gotta have a look at the news before the ones I missed disappear".
Putting the news at the bottom and hiding the new releases at the top spot behind sales and Thronebreaker is kinda weird. Honestly... I come to GOG and see a sale banner (currently "Made in Poland"), Thronebreaker, Project Warlord (three weeks old, according to the game's page), another sale and THEN two semi-recent releases (which both already dropped out of the news). I probably missed a few new releases already...
News should go back to the top where people will see them. If people miss new games they won't buy them. And this'll result in publishers/devs thinking that GOG isn't worth any effort! Seriously, the new design is really, really stupid. It's not THAT bad (game pages are good, except one or two minor details), but... Where and how they put their different sections on the front page is freakin' weird!
1. Random stuff (mainly sales) that's featured for random reasons
2. Tiny spot for new releases (<- *lol* I just realized that one for the first time - thought it was sales, since everything there has a discount)
3. Sales
4. Bestselling games (usually games that are on sale - that's why they're bestselling)
5. Curated collections -.-
6. News
