Anyone following? The team I support, South Africa, isn't doing too well. But I hope New Zealand get their first title.

Interestingly enough, both those teams are in the Women's Football World Cup, but they both been eliminated.
Sri Lanka is the most peculiar team in my opinion. I don't follow the cup since cricket is not my thing.

As an American, I find the sport interesting. Too bad it does not have a domestic league here, though. The US team just recently gained 1-Day ODI status, and the entire team is full of Indian and Pakistani expats.
Autism level over 9000 today, my first thought was: Why would it make sense for crickets to have a world cup?

Yes! Can't see anyone except England winning it though. Jofra Archer is tearing it up. And they'll likely play their semi-final at Old Trafford, which is a perfect pitch for them.

You gotta know what a crumpet is to understand cricket!

(Aaaand that's all I know.)
And that is that for SA. Not that they had a real chance before, but now they are mathematically eliminated.

I'm not too sure. Most likely - granted. But far from given.

Luckily I'm not a fan of the sport, especially this year :P And especially because the rugby world cup will probably be a disaster judging by our super rugby performance in recent years. Bulls did ok Saturday though.

OK. I know what a Cricket World Cup is. But why would anyone make a world cup for bulls?

They don't demand salaries? :) The blue bulls are our most successful team in the super rugby competition, but they dropped out of the quarter finals this year :( Not to mention the sharks, who crashed out.

Ah. Not my sport. I enjoy watching the odd game now and then (All Blacks or Ireland). But only when with people who are fans.

I remember the Japan - South Africa match though. That was something.

Good luck in the World Cup.

Ooh ouch, the poor Springboks are never going to live that down. First ever loss to Argentina as well iirc that same year.
