Jets'n'Guns 2 is about to launch on Steam Early access, so i asked the devs (Rake In Grass) if they were releasing it on GOG.

I guess the GOG curators hate SHMUPs, so you now know who to blame if neither game appear on GOG

looks like a sample game in gamemaker
The only thing I enjoy about Jets'n'Guns is the soundtrack. Among all the shmups that exist on PC, that one has to be one of the most bland and mediocre ones.

Crimzon Clover, one of the best bullet hells/shmups ever created, is available on GOG.

Raiden IV: OverKill is also great and available at GOG.

So I wouldn't agree with the statement that the curator hates SHMUPs.
I am a fan of euroshmups like Tyrian, and had a good time with Jets N Guns the first. Looking forward to getting a copy of the sequel this xmas. If GOG doesn't want my coin nor to add good games to the catalog, then it is their loss.

GOG has decent selection of Schmups. I do wish it'd get Jamestown though (despite its age). I managed to get it DRM-free from one of the earlier Humble Bundles (before it turned into a being mostly just aSteam key reseller...), but it's such a nice game, I'd like to see it renewed here.
What the heck, GOG?
Rather than whinging and whining, why don't you actually try selling the game to those who might be interested?

What does Jet's and Guns have that others don't? Where is your link to the wishlist? Why does it look like a flashy and distracting game from just watching a tiny trailer box; can you imagine just how distracting that nigh constant screenshake would get?
Euroshmups are a rare breed, and fewer still are fun as heck. To boil down J&G:

*There is a huge variety of non-random gear to try out, along with unlockable ships and secrets.
*You can freely buy and sell equipment at full price, allowing you to experiment at will.
*Plenty of levels with different themes and challenges.
*Newgame+.
*Rockin' music.

Jets & Guns Gold Review

The original game is simply good ol' fun.

A guy who owns a Nintendo Wii console, complaining about graphics looking poor in other games.

Oh, the irony.

By the way, here's the wishlist entry for the first game you might want to append to your post.
I never played in Jets'n'Guns, however developer itself (Rake in the Grass) has some really nice games, such as Archibald's Adventures (mix of platform and puzzle game) or Larva Mortus (humble looking, but surprisingly enjoyable top-down shooter/slasher). I've finished both some time ago and really enjoyed them.

All I got from that Steamlink was that GOG recected part 1 - and that the dev hopes to get part 2 on GOG.

Nothing more - nothing less.

Makes me wonder whether GOG actually has competent people for each genre. STG are a niche one, so it's unlikely I would say. Therefore, they can't properly evaluate whether a game is worth having here or not. I certainly don't mind curation as I don't want broken or garbage games to appear here but if they don't have the manpower or can't field the right people, then what's the point?
The treasure box hacker tool is a variation of the guessing game Cows and Bulls. That I like.
