Google Stadia is shutting down due to "...it hasn’t gained the traction with users that we expected...".
I am not surprised. Pricing (so that it is still profitable business) is the biggest issue with streaming gaming because keeping up cloud server farms which have enough CPU power and RAM to run demanding games cost money, especially now with the soaring electricity costs. The hardware demands and operating costs (= $$$) for cloud servers to run interactive games is much much MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH higher than simply streaming videos or music (Netflix, Spotify etc.).
Well, at least Google will be refunding the bought games, hardware and DLC, otherwise there would be a great backlash. I guess monthly fees will not be refunded, like they shouldn't be.
