So, I just stumbled upon the trailer for the upcoming C&C mobile game and I was just... why EA.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8wjbzfFGNQ

The trailer actually pays homage to Red Alert so much it might as well have been used as a trailer for a mainline entry. Iconic units that look as they should, fitting music, the centerpiece of the trailer is a damn Psychic Dominator and there is an awesome teaser at the end..... Why is it that a damn mobile game promo material is more faithful to the original franchise than 99% of the current triple A output is capable of?

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

And we are at this point with the franchise simply because they had no idea how to market an RTS game 14 years ago.... Relevant vid with a former EA developer (watch from the starting timestamp until 39:14)

Command & Conquer: Legions... oh boy, WTF did i just saw? And i don't mean the cinematic trailer.

I thought the worst was Tiberian Twilight (back in 2010), the last Electronic Assholes game i ever bought. Surprised EA is still around, people must be really stupid to still buy their trash. Or that failed attempt at Generals 2, there were all those crazy ideas about it. From free to play MMO to pay to win MMO, generals being sold separately... wouldn't be surprised if they tried to sell individual units to the suckers as well. I think the stolen Warhammer 40k tank is what finally killed it. Always wanted a Generals sequel and at the same time was never more happy to see a game go down in flames. Because in the end that was for the best.

And now this "Legions", another dumpster fire attempt at a game (a mobile one no less) unworthy of the Command & Conquer title.

ooh
that is a cool trailer!

Maybe they thought, 2 million copies for remastered, let's reach 100M with a mobile game

Definitely. Was just surprised by the trailer attached to it. So many units present in it and all look pretty much exactly as they should. The music. Somebody there obviously still knows what C&C is supposed to be, but EA simply won't allow anything good to happen to the franchise.
