The faux claymation remind me of Skullmonkeys. I hope there's a new sequel for Skullmonkeys or Neverhood.

But this game is close. Wishlisted.
It certainly has a unique art design.

Are you aware of Armikrog, the spiritual successor to The Neverhood, made by the almost same team behind The Neverhood?

GRIME looks very promising indeed, like Dead Cells (for the similarities in character design of the protagonist) but everything has a Cronenbergian body horror vibe to it.

I'm not a huge fan of metroidvanias, but I have to say this looks really great.
I was keeping an eye on this and I'm happy that it gonna be in GOG's catalogue in the end, after the troublesome announcement.
Excellent

More metroidvanias. MORE, I SAY!

I WILL BUY THEM ALL.

Much prefer this over the action roguelite.
low rated
Why does this game have Steam Achievements, yet no Galaxy Achievements?
Warning: spoiler ahead regarding Kessel Run

My eyes pop as if my torso is on its way to the black hole nearby.

This looks very much like a new entry into what I've named the 'Salt and Sanctuary' category of games.
Simply put - 2D Dark Souls gameplay meets Metroidvania-styled maps, for the most part.
I use that description because Salt & Sanctuary was the first game of this style to release, and it proudly displayed its roots. So much so that the developers included a note you find very early in the game which stated how excited they were for Dark Souls 3.
I watched the GDC presentation the creators gave, and its a husband and wife team. They really hit it big with Salt & Sanctuary. This terrific little niche genre of games has really taken off since then; my most recent purchase of such a game was 'Morbid, The Seven Acolytes,' which uses amazing pixel art, ridiculously excessive violence and gore, along with buckets and buckets of virtual blood to make it stand out among the crowd.
It's also another one of those games that was just 'meh' until the 2.0 patch, but the developers did listen to complaints, and fairly well addressed all of them, and I'd give it a 7.5 for a rating.
No, it's no Salt & Sanctuary, but I've yet to come across another game in this new-ish genre that does.

If Grime offers tons of character builds, infinite farming and leveling up, cool, memorable, intertwined maps (hopefully with a central hub to chill in and prep for your next run) featuring vastly different biomes (not just dark caves and dreary dungeons, please!) to explore, and lots of interesting 'side stuff' to do, like fishing, building up your hub chill spot, NPC's of all kinds to interact with, collecting and crafting....
Well, that'd be awesome.
it DOES have a cool look, so here's hoping!

Would zou consider ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights part of the gerne as well? Another gourgeous looking title I hope might reach GOG at least when out of development.

Vigil: The Longest Night is a love letter to Salt & Sanctuary (even includes a small cross-over) and Bloodborne.

"Morbid" gave me strong Blood Omen vibes, more than anything.
This game looks fantastic honestly
