I actually just ran into this problem with Cyberpunk.
3 characters (3 "career" paths) - reasonable
3 manual saves per characters - also reasonable
the 3rd manual save on the 3rd character exceeded the limit - not reasonable at all.

Now you can blame this on GoG or the game's developer for the large save files...
wait a minute....same outfit :)
Save files in cyberpunk are 5 MB each, you could write a novel about your character
it wouldn't take up that much space...

Anyway my fix - disable cloud saves...syncing is so incredibly slow anyway.

skeletonbow: That wouldn't fly as it would be easy to game the system by simply buying the cheapest $0.69 games on sale during big sales events, just so each game you own gives you another 200MB of storage. In fact, it might actually cause the total storage that someone is using to go up in size. For example, I own something like 850 games, so 850 x 200MB = 170GB. So I'd be able to have up to 170GB of savegames for Cyberpunk 2077 if I wanted to if they pooled 200MB per game and let games use up to that amount total.
Right now they already offer 200MB per game anyhow. How would this change things? Instead of limiting each 200MB to each specific game it would just make it one big container of storage.

they just wend beyond stupid with this one. See if I'm going to buy any more CDPR games ever. I'll just wait for them to be released and managed on steam. At least steam are not such skinflint tightwad misers like CDPR.
Maybe make an exception for your own company's game. It's so horribly unoptimized when saving that it takes up a ridiculous amount of space. Essentially it's better to buy your own game from a competitor rather than use your store.

[EDIT] Given how Luna interacts with Gog saves, if CDPR ever plans to bring Cyberpunk 2077 to Luna that save limit is gonna be an issue.

This gonna be an issue for me too, Witcher 3 taking up more than 500MB.
Question is, how will the sync work? will GOG keep all my local saves, and keep only last 200MB worth of Witcher 3 saves on cloud?

just checked the save game page gog provided in email. it shows 850MB of Witcher 3 saves on cloud, while locally i have "only" 500MB. what the...

The way it will work should be the same as always. If you have more than 200MB save files they wont sync and you should get the usual error that you get now. When you get to(under) the limit Galaxy will sync normally. You currently have above that limit that is why I guess galaxy wont sync and it keeps your older saves from when the quota was higher. Your local saves should be safe as long as you dont overwrite them if asked but just in case if you need them make you own copy especially of the save file for new game+

Estoy harto de tener que borrar partidas cada vez que salgo del juego, si lo llego a saber me compro el Cyberpunk 2077 en STEAM, y mira que lo compré directamente en GOG para apoyarles más, ahora me arrepiento :(

Because they're taking the lazy way out. If they want to limit things, they need to first look at the general size of a game's save files first, because there are some games where a single save can quickly fill up that limit (particularly if it's a lengthy game with a lot of mods). I can accept a limit (despite feeling it's a massive L for GOG) but it needs to be custom on a per-game basis rather than a static 200mb limit no matter what, it should be custom for the game.
