Hi, I'm trying to checkout a purchase, but I keep getting transaction failed for my card, although the card is good (there are funds, not blocked, checked with card support), and paypal doesn't show me any screen to complete the purchase.

I did checkout another purchase with the same card just moments before and it completed sucessfully. Then I went to buy more, and no good.

Is anyone else going through this?

Contact support, I'm sure they'll help you out.
Are you by any chance trying to purchase one or more games that you purchased earlier today as gifts? If so, GOG's system won't let you complete such a purchase within the same 24hrs span, and you'll have to wait for that time span to expire. If not, do as chevkoch advised.
I've had problems with checkout during this sale, it keeps hanging after I hit "pay for your order now". If that's what you're seeing, just wait for a few minutes and try again, eventually it will work.
Same here, some people are also claiming PayPal (which is GOG's "miracle cure" that all there support staff suggest first for all payment troubles) is also failing the same way.

Looks like this sale is a major fustercluck for GOG. Heads are going to roll somewhere. And support are *not* answering support requests as quick as they normally do. Probably flooded with 1000s of them. Actually they did, eventually..... guess what they said..... you got it..... "try PayPal".

Edit - I tried PayPal and they demanded a mobile phone number before I could even fart with them. They can FO, I don't do this enforced "give us your mobile number for us to sell on and get you bombarded with spam" BS!

So GOG, no direct debit card payments at your site itself = I can't be a loyal customer no more!

No, it was an entirely new purchase of other titles which i forgot to add previously, no gifts. I though about contacting CS, but if it was a generalized problem, I would likely not receive a reply before the sale was over, and since there was (thankfully) other means of payment, I ended up that route.

In the end, I finished the order using a local reseller for payment, ironically using the same card, and the order was processed normally the day after. Most likely a temporary problem with the card processing provider, since it was the first time it bailed out on me. Will confirm that on my next purchase.

That's actually interesting - are you in the UK by anychance? I myself still find both my cards on hand failing on GOG..... but on Steam they both work..... until tonight, when even Steam began rejecting the card I'd tried several times with here on GOG. The other still works on Steam.

So I say again, IT IS GOG that is at fault - despite support constantly denying this - and becuase of their fault I do now also have a geniune block on one of my cards at my end too! And if they say "PayPal" again...... :=O No point me making a PayPal account till the new year - I intend to dump the shitty bank I'm currently with and get another after Xmas!

I think GOG should let me have these £4.68 worth I'm trying to buy free...... only right seeing as they're causing me all this trouble! It's not that I'm not a loyal customer, I must have getting on for £1000 worth of GOG titles in my library!

No, I'm in Brazil. Since this sale got the best out of my alloted gaming funds, I will only be able to confirm if it was a temporary problem with card by the end of the month. Or on another 90% sale rush =).

Well, I guess it all comes down to the number of related problems with purchases by cards, although I didn't see enough complains to deem it a generalized problem.
Also, I haven't bought anything from GOG through paypal yet, but as far as my purchases through paypal go, you don't need an account to pay through it. Just insert your details and that's it. I do have an account, since all I have to do is login and click pay, makes life easier.
