arrua: The company needs a second game development team to release games more often. But, of course, with all the money they are losing, that is a bit difficult now.
avatar
Sarafan: What are they loosing? The stock price value has no influence on the financial condition of the company itself. It has only a meaningful impact in case someone wants to take over it. The financial situation of CD Projekt is stable. The results for Q1 2022 are better than expected and the thing that's happening with the stock price is scandalous. It's almost like someone wants to deliberately lower the price for some reason.

Right now the company is almost ready to prepare two AAA projects simultaneously. There's a major add-on for CP2077 in development and a new AAA installment in the Witcher series. There's also a new side card game project being prepared and of course Gwent. I think that's more than enough for a company of this size.
Nah, no effect at all. They'll just make up for the higher cost of raising capital with crowdfunding. lol

CyberBobber: It doesnt really mean anything. Whether you swim or sink. CDPR isnt sinking.

Abishia: ah the implications' are much more serious then you think
for starters company's need investors to inject money

when a company do poorly and considered risky investment you can guess they no longer investing in that company.
which leads to dry up of cash.

also if i recall CDPR CEO getting payed in stocks he lost a sh(t load of money
you properly think wtf do i care about some CEO, simple they lead a company they not do the hard work but the brain work (that's why they getting payed so astonishing much) and mostly are like 24 hours available
Ive seen this happening before. For example Ubisoft stock was in deep crap at one point yet they returned.

A very simple reason is it could be going down to where it was before the cyberpunk hype.

Ubisoft had massive struggles in early 2k. 2005 or so. It actually lasted all way to 2013 or so.

CDPR has plenty of time to make their moves. They could do own "universe". That should get things rolling. As long its not too far from Cyberpunk and Witcher.

Boris gets it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0I9BS_SkWo

It's on it's way up at zł 103.18 or € 21.4 perhaps prostrating themselves for last months virtue signalling brought in some extra cash.

P.S The Euro € looks like it's equal to the Dollar $ 0_0

Now it's going back down to zł 89.63 or about € 18.70

Also looking at Ubisofts chart that was mostly flat until there was an attempted buyout where the stock price was pushed up.

CyberBobber: Bro it was the one of the best debuts game industry ever had and Night City is easily most coolest city ever created.
avatar
arrua: And they could have won much much much more money. Take into account that the playstation release, for example, was a huge hit against the company´s sale prospects, reputation and relationship with Sony.

And there were other problems, like all the reviews and media prices cd-projekt bought, which given the awful state of the game when released, proved that all the gaming media is corrupt.

It´ll take years for cd-projekt to recover from all this mess.
Popularity is two edged sword. I think Rockstar is gonna be always in GTA5's shadow. Hopefully Im wrong. As long you've great games coming, game industry loves you.

Hello, it's me again, once mroe here to say I'm disgusted with anything stock market related!
I hope the world "free" (if you can call "bigger fish eats smaller fish free) market crashes, burns and becomes a distant memory evoking feelings of shame.

While not a big fan myself of how publicly traded companies tend to operate, I think so many things are dependant on the stock market right now that it crashing and burning without a smooth transition toward something else would cause a global economic meltdown. It would not be a pretty sight.

It's gone back down to 89 after bouncing up and down again.

They've got pictures of it now.

That's a good point too.
The stock's gone up to zł 120.
This comes after CD Projekts pledge to EGS around the same time as Marcin stepped down and applied to be Supervisory Board Chairman. Prior to this there was some stock change announcements involving goldman sachs around the same time as the half year report.
