2 days ago my extern harddisk broke down I can't reinstall GOG galaxy anymore. It was installed on that specific hard disk, but I can't reach it anymore since it's broken and can't be repaired.

Now when I try to reinstall GOG to another drive I simply can't. It gives me the error "The drive or UNC share you selected does not exist or is not accessible. Please select another." Though it doesn't give me any options to choose any other drive.

After this I tried to install it through Gwent installer. There I saw that it still locates GOG on the old hard disk that is not there anymore...

Is there any way I can fix this?
Did you try uninstalling it via Windows? This could remove some broken registry entries.

I tried Ccleaner before, but forgot to check that step first ...

Anyway, it worked thanks! :)

I have the same problem, but windows remove programs can't uninstall it either, any other ideas?

Since you weren't entirely clear on this part....do you know what registry keys are? Have you tried using a registry cleaner, like ccleaner, mentioned above? Often if you're unable to fully remove a program it's because there are keys hiding in your registry.

Unless you know you know what you're doing, don't manually start deleting keys, though.

Might be helpful if you gave some specifics as to what is occurring.
Edit: used the find function in regedit and deleted a few more references to it, seems to work now, never mind.

Same as the original topic, I had GoG galaxy installed on a hard drive, which failed. Then I replaced it, attempted to reinstall, and when I use the installer as soon as the installer goes to the installing screen it immediately pops up an error dialogue with "The drive or UNC share you selected does not exist or is not accessible. Please select another." and when I close the dialogue, the installer exits.

I've tried running ccleaner and I've gone through and deleted a couple that it missed, but still no change for the installer. Uninstalling through windows just makes it tell me that it can't find the file.

Specifically, I went through the entries in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
and deleted anything to do with gog

Looks like I ran into the same problem. Did you ever get it fixed?

I also deleted the programdata gog folder and removed the missed (by ccleaner) reqistry entries for the galaxy services which I noticed were still there in the services.

Thanks so much! That did the trick! Seems like I did miss the registry entries you mentioned.
