Can i o!ay these games in a kindle fire if I don't have a computer right now

I was told if I get msdosbox it would run on kindle but I am not sure. If I buy a game how do I run it ?

Would it work on a Chrome book?
In general, no.

However, there may, in special cases, be a way to get certain games to run. For example, if your device is running Android and allows you to sideload apps, you could do the following:
* Install F-Droid (basically an alternative app store that features only open-source software)
* Install termux and a VNC client (note: make sure to install the F-Droid version of termux specifically; the Google Play version will forever be out-of-date)
* In termux, add the x11 repo, and install a VNC server along with dosbox
* Start the VNC server and dosbox, then connect to localhost via the VNC client app

Note that, to actually get the game on that system, you will likely need to install and use innoextract under termux

As for chromebooks, you can get one that supports crostini, and install dosbox there. (Note that it will be easier on an intel chromebook, as that will allow you to run the Linux installer (if there is one) directly, or possibly run WINE on the Windows installer, instead of having to use innoextract.) Alternatively, if you're willing to deal with the developer mode prompt on every boot, you can use crouton, though I would only suggest it if you already have a chromebook that crostini doesn't support. (In other words, if you're buying a chromebook for this purpose, make sure it supports crostini.)

Note that this method is for DOSBox games specifically. Other games, unless they run on an emulator that is available for your platform, will likely not work. Anything requiring modern 3D hardware is almost not certainly going to work; for those games you'll need to buy a more standard computer.

You expect someone who doesn't understand the difference between a windows (or linux) PC and one of the lower tier android devices to even attempt that? The Fire is so underpowered for gaming it can't run many halfway recent native Android entries, much less through any compatibility or emulation layers.

I'm not assuming that the person doesn't understand that different.

Also, many DOSBox games are so old that they'll run on an underpowered device even with emulation involved.

In short: That only works for DOS games, not Windows games
Also games running in ScummVM can be run on Android.

You won't have the luxury of auto installers or apks however, you need to extract and copy the files manually.

And it does not look as if you have much experience with this so ... don't. You will most likely be disappointed.

Perhaps a much better way to say what I said. I apologize for my harsh comment earlier about the OP.
