Recently, every time i open the Website the Language is set to german, but i want it in english. I do not want the Website in german only because i have a german ip. In the past the language was always english, as i have set this in my account, now it ignores this setting. Please fix this, it is highly annoying. I know that i can change the language at the bottom of the page, but it will not save that setting and will revert to german. I absolutely hate it that everything switches to german just because of my ip.

This setting is stored in a cookie. Is your browser configured to delete cookies every time you close it? Do you have any browser add-on/extension that handles cookies or anonymizes your navigation?

If all answers are "No" try using a different browser to confirm if the behavior stays the same.

For the record, in my experience during the few years Gog did have a brazilian storefront it never reverted from my preferred english setting. Similarly, the only time I see my local currency instead of my favored setting (USD, also stored in a cookie) is when I am browsing anonymously or using a different browser where I'm not logged in.

Thx for your answer. I don't delete cookies and disabled all anonymizations in Firefox because it caused trouble with the steam forums login. I might try a different browser and look again over my settings.

The Problem is i did not change anything and my page was in english for a long time and i had no problem until recently. Sadly, this is a behaviour that i come across more often recently. Some sites seem to delete their cookies after a set timespan. Maybe it is because of the strict laws in germany for data storage. gog also removed games from their page for germany.

Do you have "de" on the end of the URL that you use for GOG?

https://www.gog.com/de is always in German
https://www.gog.com/en is always in English
https://www.gog.com/ chooses a language depending on your settings

Thx, i did not know this. I use gog.com. Currently it seems to keep the Language setting. I try the /en url if i have problems again.
