Funny that nobody made a Braveheart mod for Mount&Blade or Medievil: Total War.

kencool70: Do you guys think GOG will ever get it's hands on it? Is there a way to get a legal digital version of it? I know it's not popular and probably won't find it's way to this site, but I can wish.

dajarvi: I'm really hoping they release soon! I put so many hours into that game. More than Castles and Castles 2
Since the game is associated with a movie, I wouldn't get your hopes up. I'd suggest getting the game "elsewhere", and seeing if an emulator like nGlide or dgVoodoo can help with comptibility. Perhaps VOGONS has a topic on Braveheart the Game.
Interesting trivia at MobyGames:

Development

The reason there was no mention of the movie in the game was the game was originally without the movie license. The original title was going to be Tartan Army. When the movie was released during the development, Eidos quickly bought the game rights and changed the title. The game was in development before the movie, and has no relation to the movie except they both cover the same subject, despite all the material claiming the game was based on the movie.

Scottish Association of the Clans

The game is endorsed by the Scottish Association of the Clans.
Anyway, as said, having a probably expired movie license makes it less probable for it to appear, same like those Lord of the Rings movie RTS games (which I fortunately have as retail versions).

If developer/publisher still have the source code it might be possible to have the game release here as "Tartan Army" striping all Braveheart references. But it does sound like a huge amount of legal work
I actually have it. Original CD box. Never played it though.
