I have paid for a few games now that give "Serial keys depleted" errors when I try to access their serial keys. I tried to open a ticket with GOG Support, but the worthless chat bot says that it can't resolve my issues. The bot promised to pass my info on to the support staff, but it has been a few days now and I haven't received as much as a support ticket confirmation which makes me wonder if the support bot actually filed a ticket. I also messaged a few blues directly to try to understand what's going on, and I haven't received replies from them either.

How can I get in touch with a living, breathing support agent? Or how can I at least know that GOG Support is aware of my issue and is working on it? I'm getting very frustrated with my support requests disappearing into the void and am considering a refund.
Was it one of the Settlers games?
What operating system are these games being installed/run on ?.

Which games are you referring to that require access to serial keys?

I dont recall any recent games that required serial keys. Last time I looked up serial keys was Neverwinter Nights and that was years ago.
.
Some games, like World in Conflict, require a serial key for multiplayer, and these serial keys aren't available anymore on the library.

There are some alternate ways to get serial keys in some cases, which are posted in the game-specific forums, but at least GOG should leave a warning on game pages about this lack of serial keys.
Could have been Non-BFG Doom 3 + Resurrection of Evil?
Both the base game as well as RoE are asking for Serial Keys the first time you're running them. Not sure if this has been patched out in the meantime.

Doom III hasn't asked me for a key but I didn't run it through Galaxy. Did you?
I believe Settlers 3: Ultimate Collection still asks for a (CD?) key when first running it, as DoomSooth alluded to in an earlier post above...

You're supposed to tell the chatbot your issue is of type "other" twice. See the bottom of my complaint post for the exact wording. E-mail confirmation should be instantaneous.
As pointed out above, you can try e-mailing support (at) gog (dot) com instead.

Settlers III is out of keys. I just recently bought it but only because they were all so cheap. The rest in the series that use keys had them.
Thanks to all for the information on the support email address. I tried that so we'll see how it goes. (They attempted to close my ticket within an hour of submitting my request and told me to check the knowledge base, but I commented on the ticket and was able to keep it open.)

It's worse than that. Some GOG packages that include multiple games use the GOG Serial Keys feature to distribute the additional keys (e.g. Wasteland 2, Divinity: Original Sin, Frozen Synapse, Frozen Cortex, etc.), and those keys can apparently be "depleted" for some reason. This is what I'm dealing with at the moment, and I definitely feel ripped off right now.

There is a huge difference between the standard "serial keys" for MP games and keys that unlock another GOG product.
Yes, GOG keys are only valid for a certain time, that is a well known fact. I don't know how long the keys on a game page are supposed to be valid, but I never tried to wait for years before claiming them.

After you mentioned this, I went to the Wasteland 2 game page (I bought that game in 2015) and checked the keys there.
One I could not use, since I got the according game through other means already.
The other one I already used a long time ago.
None of these keys was "depleted". How long have you been sitting on yours?

SpikedWallMan: "Serial keys depleted"
Sounds like they ran out of keys. I only ever saw it once with a game that was on a giveaway or connect even, and they ran out of keys due to huge demand. They were replenished after some time. Hope that support gets back to you soon, just make sure you have a ticket number, keep it open and/or email them directly. They should tell you how long it would take for you to receive the key and then you can decide whether to refund or not.

Btw I would find it amusing if the key would be fetched at the time of first query by the user in their library and not at the time of actual purchase. It's gog after all, things might be backwards like that.

Yeah, typical of the scumbag support bot that hopes fervently that you will forget about your issue and give up.
