Interesting, thanks for sharing SCPM.
tl;dr: - PC gaming platform with Bleem-exclusives from Piko
- Main catalogue of retro games of defunct consoles (NES-PS1 and more) in ROM format
- Plan to make a wrapper compatible with Bleem, Steam, and GOG for gamedevs
- Website-only interface
- Games compatible with GOG Galaxy
I wonder how their business will operate. Do they already have a bunch of cartridge readers
like this one and they'll establish contracts on agreed splits, dump the ROM, crack the DRM, and then apply their wrapper to it? Would arguably be faster than hunting down the original gamedevs for a DRM-free source code for porting.
Martek: Me? Let's see what they
DO, not what they "will do". That's when my ears might perk up.
Agreed.
