That is what killed Origin.
They had to much money in a blink of a second, hired to much staff and wanted to do to many things aimed at a rather small target group.
And talking about Bioware.
Afaik Bioware wanted to do Anthem.
And EA threw money on Dragon Age Veilguard for nearly a decade.
And what it was, is fully biowares idea. While I got problems to even see the target group. Young people don't know Dragon Age, because number 3 was 2011 for a different console generation.
Old people now a very different Dragon Age.
And between Inquisition and Veilguard, there are Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem.
I don't know anyone who had even the smallest hope for Bioware after those 2.
EA would have loved to see Bioware being another Blizzard (or at last Bungie) and left them alone with tons of money.
Bioware used it to finance its suicide.
