Double pack of RE2 + 3 goes on sale all the time for $15 on Steam. About the cheapest I've seen it go for.

From your point of view. Is it worth to check all other from the series in chronicle order? Or just screw it and play those that look modern? :)

I'd say play the ones that look modern to you and see how you like them. They are more accessible to purchase today than tracking down old copies of the originals but you can always check them out later if you like those remakes.
