Ever heard of No Resistance? It's from 1994, and shot on a $7,500 budget orginally meant for a VHS release. It was released on bluray and I got it. I like it, even though I know Blade Runner is the defacto standard for CP movies.

I heard about this by accident and like it a lot. It has an awesome soundtrack too.

We all have our own tastes. :P I'm a fan of low-budget B flicks myself. Now if only Space Rage would get a proper disc release.... :(

I picked it up last year, I think it was even mentioned somewhere on the GOG forum before and that's what intrigued me, especially since I have a soft spot for indie flicks and shot-on-video productions. It's fairly creative and well done, but obviously one shouldn't expect to be blown away by production quality. Pretty good soundtrack too, I believe done by local bands.
One sci-fi film that I saw recently and very much enjoyed, although with a much higher budget of $2 million, was Sleep Dealer, I also recommend folks check it out.

The Pain Teens did most of it (I had to really dig to find it). They were all from Houston, movie was shot there too.

It's not a choice, but it makes for difficult artistic achievements such as this little-known cyber punk movie to be made. Since there is a hunger. Just one with no known recipe.
