It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

nightcraw1er.488: They did make changes to the forum recently, now it's very hard to use on mobile and update notifications disappeared.
Wasn't it always hard to use on mobile, or...?
Also, ALL notifications disappeared. Unless you're using Galaxy, of course.
A more intuitive message editor (I'm thinking "What You See Is What You Get") would be great. Or another way to deal with quotes. The search function seems to work fine to me, except that I can't understand what is the logic behind the order in which the different posts appear and I can't sort them (e.g. by date), so finding anything is an incredibly long task.

But at the moment I would be happy just if notifications started working again.

Yes but now it's "enhanced" i.e. I can't even get reply button up with repeatedly tapping around where the minus button would be.
Everyone. Literally everyone thinks so (I'm using 'literally' figuratively, for emphasis).
On June 29, they said that the notifications would be back "within the next few weeks". Let's hope for the best.

"Literally" nowadays literally means "figuratively", in addition to -not instead of- the earlier meaning of "literally".

That is literally true.
Good news, I just got off the phone with the folks over at GOG and they have heard your pleas. :D

They have hired someone to redesign the site and they are one of the best in the business, famed for layouts such as and [url=https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/0f/0e/3b/0f0e3bd33a8d0f69eeddc793e61ef1b3.jpg]THIS.

Time to celebrate! :D

ralphunreal: It is so unconventional compared to most forums. It is weird that a new window opens when you are going to post, fonts are a little too small, etc The website itself is great, only the forum seems off.
No, another forum with giant fonts no, please.
Back in 2008 this was one of the best forums around - conventions for forums were actually quite terrible back then, so GOG's design was a breath of fresh air.

Of course, most people were using IE6 back then, so they even though the design was fairly simply they had to bend over backwards to get it working as designed on IE6, which meant a rather elaborate markup that didn't translate well to small displays.

Then the entire site excluding the forums got completely redone, so now the forum doesn't quite gel with everything else.

So this forum is nice, but the time has come for a rewrite.

If the design has been the same since 2008, then that explains why it is so hard to use in portable devices. 9 years ago I didn't even have Internet access on my phone; nowadays I visit this forum more often via my phone than a PC.

An Android/iOS official GOG app, with forum integration, would be even better.

Can't you just press Ctrl + a few times... oh you are using Galaxy to read the forums, right?

I recall Steam client having the same issue, fonts are so small and you can't make them bigger (well, there is one unofficial way, but it works only partly and it is damn laborous). What's with these "gaming clients" not having the zoom ability like all web browsers do?

Frankly I don't think it need a "redising", I just want it to work properly, get back notifications, and get rid of rep points. Other than that I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with the forum but then again this is pretty much the only forum I use, I have no idea what are the "modern standards" for one (nor do I much care).

Ghorpm: If they redisgn it there will be an uproar "the old forum was so much better" ;)
Well, probably.. the last time GOG tried, all became grey, old issues weren't fixed and new ones appeared..
