Im in for ZEUS + POSEIDON (ACROPOLIS).

My favourite game is Quest for Glory series (Monkey Island shared the same spot). I love the seriousness mixed with humor throughout the game, the puzzle-solving, random encounters, the almost real-esque fantasy world and a non-linear gameplay. The protagonist has no name, wearing a cape, at times making idiotic mistakes, learning how to be a hero (qfg1), which in someway i can relate to a lot at the time playing it. The battle mode is probably the downside of the game but hey, you can throw a rock and run until that t-rex is dead.

I guess I forgot which game is that I love the most. That is a good question since im a big RTS fan. I guess I will settle (irony isn't it) for Settlers 2 Gold Edition which was my first pc game. That game is just so serene and relaxing but at the end it still gives you what you expect as strategy fan (empire building and conquest). Its just always so interesting to see how your workers are building the buildings and doing their other jobs. I quite like the military system that is so passive and doesn't really include you in to the figthing (besides press on this building and order number of soldiers attacking). Also the music is awsome. Its an old game but newer surpassed by any newer Settlers game. Only Valhalla Hills has come close to it while its still a totally different game.

The game that i love most: Might and Magic VII. Why: because, if you are skilled enough, you get to beat a dragon right at the beginning of the game. Other reasons: fun story, great character building/customization, meaningful loot, nice exploration and you get to have your castle and upgrade it. Extra bonus: my favorite lady in a fantasy game: Catherine Ironfist (she makes an appearance).

For my 30th, we had just had a baby a few weeks before and my wife's present to me was to let me sleep in. It was sooooooooooooo good. It's funny -- the presents you remember aren't always the biggest. :)

I must say that that is probably the best collection of games in any giveaway I have seen here in GOG. I am quite impressed. I know that, above all, this is a matter of taste, but I like your choices.

Settlers 2 may be the only one I would pass by, but I admit I have not given it a fair chance. I only played a clone, with poor documentation.

I need to decide between EARTH 2160 and Imperial Glory. By a large margin I think I will prefer the one that is slow-paced over the Mech-customization. But it was a very close call.

Thus, in for Imperial Glory! And merry Christmas too!

I'm in for crewdroog. The game I love the most is Heroes of Might & Magic 3, because it cemented the tbs genre even further, ensuring the genre would survive to this day. It's also regarding by many as the pinnacle of the series, though I am partial to HoMM 2 for nostalgic reasons.

Did you mean out of this list or in general?

From this list it would be Heroes 3 without any doubt.
It's like massively upgraded Heroes 2 with stunning pixel art (classic version looking particularly good in HD), improved game machanics, nice soundtrack (although I prefer the one from part 2 here) slightly better balancing, nice multiplayer with someone you like to spend time with and infinite replay factor.
