For anyone that doesn't know, Ambermoon was a fantastic party-based turn-based CRPG produced for the Amiga by the German studio Thalion in 1993. Ambermoon.NET was an open-source Windows port of the game released not long ago by a guy called Pyrdacor. Now the same guy has released Ambermoon Advanced, which is basically an enhanced version of the game with new spells, items, locations, monsters etc.

Ambermoon Advanced is included in the latest version of Ambermoon.NET, available for free here:

Nice, thx for sharing. The first game "Amberstar" is one of my all time favorite RPGs.

Itch.io offers the game too https://pyrdacor.itch.io/ambermoon
If it's on itch already then why the heck is it not being hosted on the site that just last year reaffirmed its commitment "to become, once again, the best place for classic games", too?

because it is a fan made free game? which means thay while it is fine to give away for free, you need the rightowners permission to sell it. if you cannot sell it, then for gOg the hosting and maintance of it means it is loss only, there is no financial reason to do so.

amok: give away for free
I think that's the idea.
Just like Dink Smallwood or Unity Daggerfall. In case of Ambermoon it seems like it doesn't need clearance as far as the rights are concerned?

Pyrdacor's personal website through which he can be contacted, in case someone from GoG's bizdev department wants to get in touch.
