As the name states, this is about one of the greatest games out there. It rivals and in some ways surpasses MoO2 in the space exploration/diplomacy and had excellent graphics for it's time. I've got the CD but it has a horrible scratch on it (thank god for cats being assholes). I've looked high and low and I'm wondering if I"m the only person who'd LOVE to be able to buy it again... Anywhere. The game even after all these years haunts me with how well put together the stories were behind all the races, how the racials while unbalanced were all equally unbalanced to be balanced. With many ways to impede your enemies in exploration... It was such a wonderful game that I can't sing enough praises on. Am I the only one? Does anyone even remember this gem of yesteryear?
You mean Ascendancy?

It seems there is a newer iOS version of the game too, not sure if Android has it too. I am not familiar with the game as I wasn't big into heavy strategy games at the time (not that I really am even today...). I was probably playing either Duke3D or Quake at the time.

Loved this game! Great, great game.

The music score was so relaxing and classic. I can still remember the neat animation of moving a ship through the "wormhole" / warp gate things.

And man was it fun to build ships! Would be great to see this here.

Agreed.
Getting Ascendancy (and The Tone Rebellion, the other game by The Logic Factory) on GOG would be great, but the problem is that the developers have basically disappeared. Website for sale, iOS version no longer for sale and nothing on Facebook.
Yup a great game but with a few annoying little quirks. I've still got my CD kicking around as well.
Someone loaned it to me about 10 years ago and I never gave it back... I never even tried it either...
Incredible game, great music as well. Would love to see it on GOG.
