neumi5694: You did not admit 'a' mistake, but keep sliding from one into the other.
How are they supposed to verify your claim if you keep changing your informations?
Just dig out the confirmation email for your order. I still have mine from 2011.
Anyway, you won't get nothing from complaining on the forum, that's for sure. Support is the way to go. If that doesn't work out for you - too bad.
no, your description of events is inaccurate. Changing the OP from
"I bought Star Wars: Battlefront over a decade ago and it was never refunded"
to
I bought Star Wars: Battlefront 2 in 2015 (which is more than 8 years ago) and it was never refunded.
clarifies the issue quite succinctly. That's not sliding around from mistake to mistake. You're being disingenuous in response to an honest misrecollection.
Dakisarak: Don't you guys think that GOG should admit that they have made a mistake as well, and return my $7.10 (5 dollars + tax and interest).
Braggadar: No, because you bought a product as advertised, then sat on it for years before you popped on looking not only for refund but compensation (interest) for your inaction.
You could have refunded this game immediately once you determined you had a problem with it. A refund of the original purchase price is the maximum anyone should ever expect for a faulty product.
Tackle the support bot or PM a blue staff member and submit your case. Give evidence of your order, the cost, and present your case. But on a personal note I can tell you, mate, you're going to have a tough time getting blood from that stone. And posting an argument here won't further your case because this is a community forum, not an official Support channel.
My refund was requested within hours of installation. Also, it was not advertised as lacking a CD key.
