Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!
Well, I certainly have to say thanks for this!

In my opinion, the best thing is that my library is now much more responsive, now it's divided up. It took a while to load before, with all the games on one page.:-)
I would have saved stacks if I really got as many games for free as my orders history suggests I did!

Does this blue dot indicated what exactly got updated?
Will updates still be reflected on the Account tab?

PaterAlf: Negative points first:

- GOG, would you please get your alphabetisation right or give us the manual sorting back. It's almost impossible to find certain games when there aren't exact rules about how you handle the game titles (sometimes it's The game title, the next time it's game title, The).

- Please also give us an option to keep the game series together and in order of release. Taking Blackwell games for example the order at the moment is Blackwell Convergence (part three), Blackwell Deception (part four), Blackwell Epiphany, The (part 5), Blackwell Unbound (part two) and The Blackwell Legacy (part 1) is somewhere else on the shelf (because of The). How exactly does that make sense???

- About the pagination: I hate it!!! I can understand that it is nice for some people with large collections and slow or unstable internet connection or with old computers. But please give us a choice. When you said that the default setting will be 100 games per page, I didn't think that it will be the only setting available.

- Tags for movies and games shouldn't be the same ones. A tag like "feature film" or "documentary" makes a lot of sense for the movie section, but is useless for the games. Please give us different sets of tags for each section.

- I want the original cover arts and boxes for the games back. The store graphics might look nice, but the boxes gave you the feeling of a real collection (and not of browsing a store). Besides that the original cover art is part of the history of the games and should be there.

- Old PMs are missing. I really hope you wiull import them to the new section (like you aid you would).

Some positive points:

- Shared wishlists are great (especially for big sales)!

- Order history is a very helpful feature (especially when you have to deal with support) and the possibility to search for unredeemed gift codes is great!

- The possibility to tag games is nice (but it doesn't compensate for the loss of manual sorting)
- I want the original cover arts and boxes for the games back. The store graphics might look nice, but the boxes gave you the feeling of a real collection (and not of browsing a store). Besides that the original cover art is part of the history of the games and should be there.

> i miss my old shelves aswell ...... on GG we still have shelves, we can have a shelves look or a modern list look

- Old PMs are missing. I really hope you wiull import them to the new section (like you aid you would).

> i miss the PM... i was wondering where they went, PM should always stay no matter what, chatting is chatting and PM is PM, PM is always available if users have some questions or things thye wanna tell to other users

its a good thing you noticed all that, i was already looking where these things were hidden... but could not find them cause they werent there anymore

But i guess because of the fact that graphics 'slow down sites' (thats what i read all over the net nowadays they all want flat 4 colored designs) , especially if it has hundred of thousands, so maybe using shapes or so might speed things up.

Being said, i still like some old graphics look like the shelv gog started with.

Maybe its done this way because the client looks like it or the web looks like the client now, and the fact of: mobiles and touchpads, these love flat minimal designs ( i read tons of story about mobile first desktop later stuff)

No, but that's why we have the changelog feature for developer updates to games and our own updates such as whenever we add a bonus item or two to a given game :)

>Will updates still be reflected on the Account tab?

Are you referring to the number of updates?

I can't believe game boxes are gone. I'm on my phone, so I cant really tell which other changes are good or bad. I was optimistic until I read games boxes are gone. Why is it so many changes here seem to be unwanted changes?

As for a change I would like to see, display a date on the library page next to each game of when it was last updated. This is my favorite thing that Humble does.

SCPM: I'd like to see a way to share libraries, and to have total order amounts listed in order history, depending on the tags selected.

Also, right now there is a problem where all my orders older than a certain date are listed as 'free':
you mean how much it costed when paid for?
that would be great cause now i have to add all up using my calculaltor
thats why i started copying the games list into a spreadsheet, with all the functions like the site has now:

when the game was bought, price, game category etc etc
that way i could see how much i spend already :D

Squork: I don't like the changes in the shelf.
I prefered the boxes visualistaion on the shelf instead of "tales" or whatever it is now. It was oldschool and matched the gog profile.
Also I don't like that the shelf takes 4 pages now, that I have to click through instead of having one long shelf (or list - whatever).
Completely agree on box art; it was the closest thing to a shelf of games as you could get, now it's just a charmless page with game titles. I see talk of adding new art.. so I hope this changes.

can we get rid of this ALMABRDS who spams us with friends requests. Now it wont do anything when I click on arrow next to get rid of it. A block would be nice or a report spamming scum would be better
Thanks GOG! It's really nice but would you please add the option for game boxes ?!
Keep up the good work!
Where is the option to unhide games? I can't find it any longer.
Well, it's half done. Are you actually going to FINISH it? (and why would you roll it out before all features are added, such as friends management and the proper sorting of games..?)

Click the "collection" and select "hidden" (see image below). Then, click the game, click "More" and "Unhide Game".
