It helped me discover I had missed some freebie DLCs that were silently added for some of the games I owned, so it's definitely a worthwhile addition. Better late than never :P.

I used to do it pretty often. I still love GOG but I haven't really been on the forums all that much since finkleroy moved the original community giveaway to Discord. That's not the only reason, though. GOG and CDPR have been irritating me recently. Still love 'em, I still give credit where credit's due, I just don't praise them nearly as much as I used to.

That said, I agree entirely with OP, it's a fantastic feature! Anything that brings the GOG store a little closer to being a modern experience is welcome.

Same here, well, re-discovered in my case. I didn't claim Nehrim when it landed because I didn't own Oblivion at that time. But thanks to the store QOL feature I finally got it.

Really glad to see GOG finally implement this - been wishing for it forever.

However - they still have a ways to go. They really could use a system to indicate (and filter out) that even though you don't have a specific item in the store in your library, that you actually DO have it via some other store entries.

Real Example: Using the new DLC filter, I saw that the Beautiful Desolation Soundtrack was on sale 80% off and that I don't have it in library.... BUT I DO Have it... it's included in the Beautiful Desolation Supporter's Pack.

It would be fantastic if there was a "Not Needed" Tag like the "In Library" Tags.

In fact, the whole versions / DLC thing could use an overhaul.

I have a number of games where I purchased the base game, then purchased an Upgrade DLC for it (Soundtrack, Artbook, etc) so I have all the same content as the "Deluxe Version" even though I don't specifically have the "Deluxe Version" SKU. So when the Deluxe Version appears in a sale or the main page, it is not marked as "In Library" and I sometimes click through only to waste my time realizing that I do have it.

Leaving out the games where you can't buy the higher version content as an upgrade from the base version of the game - seems like a dumb oversight.

Finally as a s soundtrack junky, I've got a few issues with Game Soundtracks here on GOG.

- INCONSISTENT formats: you get some combination of .MP3, .flac, .WAV. .OGG and even .aac and .WMA (Talos Principle for those who are curious). How about one lossy (MP3) and one loseless (flac please)?

- Installers vs .zip files / extras - for those who download offline installers, please put the soundtrack goodies in .zip files, instead of installers which have issues - 1) separate installers for Windows / Mac/ Linux = duplication if you keep offline installers for more than one OS - 2) Installers won't run unless the -EXACT- same version of the game is installed ... it's a freaking stand alone -soundtrack- that shouldn't be refusing to install because you've gotten the latest patches for the game.

This unfortunately also works the other way around.
I have Deluxe versions which don't show the seperate DLC as owned on the store page.
For instance I own Metro Exodus Gold Edition (includes the DLC), but the Expansion Pass isn't marked as owned. The same goes for The Witcher 3, Pillars of Eternity: The White March, etc. It's not just story DLC, it's also sountracks, etc. which have this issue.

Good addition by GOG indeed. Thanks for mentioning it. Added many soundtracks to my wishlist (those that have lossless format anyways).

Thanks for the pointing this out, I didn't know it had been added either and it looks really useful.

(As with some other it seems I looked at this topic only because most of the posts I see are whining and this was a refreshing change)
