After installing and playing 688i Hunter Killer I realized that sound is not working (only music does work). Then I searched the internet and realized that it is a known bug of the game. I think it would be possible to include a fix with GoG installer. I hope you can fix it. Good luck!

Indeed, the sound effects come bundled in a file called sfx.agg. Apparently the compression method is too old for newer windows and they must be decompressed.

Maybe the link provided above will led you to where the little app needed to do so.

It was an officicial file intended for Sub Command but it works with 688i, Sub Command and Dangerous Waters, and probably Fleet Command. It is called SCSoundEdit Utility.exe
