I don't have one but I wouldn't see why they would any more than other modern CPU's. If you find a game runs too slow / fast with them, use the CTRL-F12 / CTRL-F11 keys to add / reduce the cycles emulated per second.
Game specific settings can be suggested if you tell us which game(s) you are having trouble with.

But, some old DOS games do not always run totally smoothly however fast you emulate.

Thank you very much for your quick replies

I don't have yet a list of games specificatly. It concerrns the buy of a new Pc. I have heard that the previous generation zen 2 had some issues with virtualization on old system (like w98, W95) I don't know really for Dosbox. I don't know if there is a problem with 5000x series. That's why i asked for this question for dos box games

Do you have intel or Amd proccessors ?

DOSBox has nothing to do with virtualization. It's an emulator, very different thing technically.
Yeah, this isn't bare metal running on bare metal.

I have a R5 1600 and it runs fine, but let me send a message to a friend that has a 5800X and I will tell you.
He tested Darklands, X-COM and Warhammer 40K Chaos Gate and runs fine, he even completed Chaos Gate with that processor without problems.

I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and it runs Jagged Alliance, Wing Commander III and Wing Commander: Privateer (all of them Dosbox games) without problems. I might have played others, but those are the ones I still have installed right now.

I don't think I've had problems with early Windows games either. Jagged Alliance 2 runs well too, and it must be a Windows 95/98 game, right?
As others said, DOSBOX is an emulator so I would not expect any compatibility issue.
When it comes to performance, just look at single threaded benchmarks. That will give you an idea how DOSBOX will perform on that CPU.
