i find it weird especially the tattoo thing. i get maybe more kids are open about being gay since i went to school but everyone has a tattoo.

the name of the show is the title of this thread. its a show where a girl in highschool kills herself and leaves 13 tapes behind to 13 ppl explaining what led to her killing herself. its a cool concept im liking the show but keep getting pulled out when i see someone who is supposedly 16 with a neck tattoo. where are the parents?

The show is not representative of real life in the slightest. The ending in particular is the highest level of bullshit. I can understand why suicide risk rates are now increasing because of the show - anyone who watches it convinced any part of it is real will not want help given how the show treats such 'help'.

Anyone who thinks about suicide and believe they can't get help will only have that belief reinforced.

WTF does that have to do with anything? Is it so hard to believe there may be parents that don't actually mind if their kid gets tattoos? And what's your problem with gay people? Seriously, what the F are you complaining about here?

Nothing wrong with tattoo's as I'm nearly covered in them but something strange with your last couple of threads.

1. They've all served time in a prison.
2. They are all sailors.
3. They've been working in the porn industry.
4. They are the yakuza.
5. They are maori people.
6. It is actually a birthmark, not a tattoo.
7. They want to look cool.
8. They want to look hip.
9. They want to look rad.
10. They want to look kek.
11. They are in a school which raises hitmen from small kids.
12. Their wives were murdered but they have a memory-impairment due to a concussion, so they keep writing "facts" all over their bodies in order to remember them later.
13. They were brought to life from books by a girl with the magical power to make stories in books happen in real life, by just reading the books. The book characters brought to life have the book story written all over their faces as tattoos.

I have never seen this show, but my brother works as a teacher and he says all the kids are obsessed with it. It depicts topics that are interesting for teenagers (some of them taboo until recent years) in an appealing way.

It may also appeal to adults... but there are so many shows that this one didn't make my list.

When I was a teen the only thing we were obsessed with was NES and American Gladiators. :P
