The game crashes after launching a new game. System is windows 10 and video card radeon 5500 xt driver 24.4.1.

Had the same issue. (rx 6600)

Not wanting to install a mod when it was a video driver that caused the issue, I rolled back to 23.5.2. I believe any 23.x.x will work.

The old Radeon drivers can be found by looking up your current drivers on
https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html and there will be a "Previous Drivers" link towards the bottom of the list.

edit: oh yeah, rolling the drivers allowed the game to start normally, like it always did before the 24.x.x drivers caused that to not happen.
