I think CAPCOM westernized too much which made it fail beyond disbelieve. They didn't really come out on top of all this yet seeing as that RE3 already became a failure in sales when you compare that version with the original. RE2 also wasn't the gem that people made it out to be it was just nostalgia that drove sales for the most part cause the remake version cut a lot from the original and only made it challenging by letting MR X run after you constantly to the point that it just got irritating.

I received the same message. This is definitely going to impact my buying decisions later and from here on in I will be hesitant to buy on GOG anymore I don't care if they bring Skyrim out in the store.

The cheeky fucks sent me the same automated message and tried to get me to go #solved to close the ticket. They are stonewalling now and this is them clearly trying to dick people around with refunds. I've pretty much had it now I won't even consider doing business with their store or anyone affiliated with them over this crap.

If the forum mods start getting ban happy and try to pretend people are being mean to them after this I wouldn't be surprised because this behaviour is seriously unprofessional. If I had gotten a refund in a fairly timely manner I would have been less bothered but I doubt they've even got anyone in the office and they just sent off this dumb message for Christmas Day.

This is my current sentiment, every exact word. As long as they honor my refund request I will be happy... and I will be here to support their next game if it's good. Like you said, any other store would have flatly refused us a refund after playing beyond a couple hours, if not at all.

The only thing that I've learned from this mess is: "never, ever preorder"... Even if the game comes from a company that you'd trust enough.

Agreed, i'm still mad with cdpr management of this mess, missing features, bugs and in particular way the lack of backward compatibility with older systems (The Witcher 3 in this regard was A LOT better). I don't like cut content, censorship and the tendency to bend the knee to a political correctness shit but I'm glad that gog will honor his refund policy also beyond the 30 day period. In my case i've asked a refund because i was never able to launch the game on my system but after more than 2 weeks of waiting i decided to try out the game on GeforceNow and with my surprise it worked well for me so after 5 hours of game time i've decided to send them a #solved msg and to continue to play the game as it is. Well all is well if is ending well i suppose.

Well, they caused it. Any company that chooses its own hybris over contingencies for when loyal customers get screwed does not deserve any kind of leniency. I refunded a game on Steam yesterday. The refund took 2 hours, not 2 weeks.
CDP stands for lack of basic functionalities. CDPR's new game cannot even run in an acceptable way, GOG's customer support cannot support its customer's in an acceptable way.

At least they gave away Brigador, I guess. Still not buying anything from them ever again, though.

I was here buying on GOG supporting Cyberpunk 2077 and giving GOG all the money for the game only because "The Witcher3", even flawed at launch time, was a superb jewell. I could have bought it on Steam (which offers better features) or other key stores like Eneba or Instant Gaming (which offer better price).

Next game of CD Projekt Red I'll buy it on Steam if it's a good launch or I'll wait for a discount knowing when that time comes, the game is going to be in good condition.

I have the same problem. I wanted my money back to my paypal and they say they did not receive any answer from me so they can close my ticket as solved. They simply do not want to refund this for me.

I finally heard back from a real human and will be getting refunded. just over 14 days from request to reply. Better late than never, I guess :/

I fully agree with your post.

1º If they don't honor their refund policy, they would be breaking laws in the majority of countries they sell games. You talk like it is an option for them to not honor their refund policy, like if you go to the police to tell you were beaten by a thug and the police claim "well, you should be happy the thug didn't kill you, he isn't bad".

2º They can't just ignore deadlines, I know they are doing it because PC gamers are always last and they wouldn't dare leave Sony and Xbox players waiting for weeks for a refund (that's their priority know) But they should have known they were going to get a refund storm the moment they dared to launch this.

3º Many people preordered this game, months or even year and a half ago. It is not just a "temporary loss of 60 euros", it is also failing to comply to their own policy of not screwing their customers.

If I knew that after 8 years of development, they would going to release a half baked console port to PC, I would have never preordered this game.
