Where and how do I enable the reflections of my character in shiny surfaces, glass, mirrors, reflective materials.
Example in the epilogue with Judy, countertop large surround mirror/shiny surface, I can clearly see an exact reflection of Judy but I am not reflected and I'm next to her. Its like Vampire lore where I cast no reflection.

Can't imagine a modern engine where no reflection is cast. What's the point ray tracing if real reflections are not cast such as yourself. (Maybe that's overstated and I retract it, but seriously where is my reelection and WHY are mirrors not real mirrors????)

Is it a combination of settings that makes it go away or make it work. Beyond the fake mirrors why can't I get a reflection in surfaces?

thx
I'll rephrase:

why is there no player character reflection in/on any reflective surfaces?

The mirrors have to be turned on because the reflections from mirrors are even more of a resource hog than the environmental reflections enabled by screen-space reflections.

At the end of the day, characters not being reflected in reflected surfaces constantly is hardly that big of a deal.

To an extent that's true, BUT its supposed to be ray traced reflections and seems odd the character is not reflected (and the shadow is also wrong)

Ray tracing has more to do with the lighting than the reflections. Unfortunately, there are only a couple methods of creating reflections in a game and the prettier they are, the more exponential the performance impact will be. Hopefully, in time, they can figure out a better way to make it work though!
