Well, after the big announcement of the patch 1.5 release, I thought of giving this game a shot.
And overall it is NOT satisfying.
The game is difficult to review since CD Project Red has tried out different approaches,
but sadly most of them are not working out.

The good features of Cyberpunk 2077 are:
+ That there is Cyberpunk
+ The main storyline with Johnny Silverhand (which I have NOT completely finished yet)
+ The attempt to visualize a future city, Night City, offering some cool locations

The mediocre features of Cyberpunk 2077 are:
o Vehicle handling as of 1.5
o Crafting, Perks, Weapons, Armor, Clothing and some Cyperpunk features like hacking cams & enemies and Co

The weak points of Cyberpunk 2077 are:
- That there is Cyberpunk, but it is only superficially implemented in Cyberpunk 2077
- Implemented Cyberpunk features are horrible, this whole part doesn't seem to be worked nor fleshed out. It is just shallow. (hacking by numbers is the crappiest stuff and Netrunners are without real effect, more like clown runners)
- The gameplay overall is horrible, Cyberpunk has no SOUL, it is not unique in any way (essentially you are playing a UPS/Postal driver simulator shooting up different places with no co-effect)
- The whole environment is not very reactive, mostly passive, and lacks any in-depth gameplay, if anything happens at all, you are just shooting your way through. Nothing else. btw, if you like FPS, Doom is much better in this regard.
- Police, Gangs, Syndicates, Clubs, whatever, it is literally without any deeper gameplay accompanying these groups.
In Cyberpunk it doesn't make any difference if they shot, shot back. The same virtual monkeys with different tags.
- These little info devices are boring as hell, these stories you can extract do not make sense a lot of times and are bland, they are literally filler stuff like SEO in Web Programming.
- All these locations you can visit, there is never anything interesting to discover, maybe these tarot cards, but that's it.
- The whole Cyperpunk 2077 feels like a Lobotomy - like all the parts have been cut from each other and act as a single entity, but nothing together, no side effects, co-effects. Simple, simpler, simplest, Cyberpunk 2077. Superlative par excellence.

At this stage, dear CD Project Red, Cyberpunk 2077 is an amazing Tech demo, but nothing more. 05/10

To add my take on what I feel is missing to make Night City "alive".
First off, all the NPCs walking and driving around feels like filler content. Sure, they have more RNG actions now, if you point a gun at them, but it's not like you can offer one of them a cup of coffee.

And while you cannot fire a gun into a crowd, everyone else can. And fire a gun at someone near a group of gang members, both the gangs and NCPD will shoot exclusively at you. And injure an NPC, and NCPD will soon fire automatic weapons into crowds of people hithout hesitation.

I could write a novel here, but I'll keep it short and rant-style for a change (also, it's 3 AM). What I miss in the game is:
- Car detailing. When I saw my PINK Cortes V5000, I got so hurt the game actually crashed when I got near it (earlier patch - was a bug due to 2 cars nearby having spawned into each other).

- Steal and resell the cars. There is SOOO much left out regarding cars in the city, it's actually hurtful to see (or not see, depending).

- Better interaction with everyone. So many people are walking around, and I cannot befriend any of them? And I thought I was a social oddity...

- Gambling / general passtime - no missions, just...fun. Like bungee jumping off of the dam, James Bond: GoldenEye style.

- Stat specific minigames. High Body stat? Go arm wrestle for prizes. High Intelligence stat? Do a hacka-ton! "Unlock" as many access ponts in the shortest amount of time. High Tactical stat? Go to a gun range (Wilson's is always closed before and after his one mission btw).

- Car chases / more missions involving driving in general. The Beast In Me was great, but that all of it. No drug- or gun running options in Night City? Seriously? What about prostitution, selling myself? I can buy sex, so why not sell as well? And my Cyberware are top-class too...

- And lastly: FREEEEDOOOOMMM!!! Seriously, I once tried to make my own personal certifiable cyberpsycho, with random attacks into crows, slaughtering everyone...until a child suddenly spawned onto the screen and MaxTac took me down and out because I suddenly couldn't attack. I deleted the whole character soon after, it was a complete waste of my time with such limitations in place.
All the kids say are insults anyway. "My daddy has a better job than your daddy" - yeah, and my hand has a bigger gun than your head...pity I cannot do anything with it.

There may be multiple-choice questions, but once a choice is made, there is no going back. Like apologize and / or explain again what it was I really meant. Just the social awkwardness every single one of us often encounters in life.
Hm. Well.

I sorta like it.

Well, that's gotta be the shortest review ever. xD

We're not calling it a bad game, at least I'm not, but there's still a lot of things we'd like to see added / changed in the game.
I've spent WAAY too many hours in CP77 to call the game anything but good.
I did not play long and already experienced tech problems like not working LOD, flickering shadows and textures as well as one model standing still with the armns stretched out. Performance now is all right for me though I still don't understand why this game is unable to deliver 60fps 1080p on a 1060 without using resolution scaling. It is not as if the game would look that good. In fact the game looks a bit blurry and textures mostly are not very sharp.

I did enjoy the gameplay until now and really had the feeling to be able to dive into this world - of course it is hard to judge after just a few hours playtime.
