How can we upgrade Cyberpunk 2077 to the Ultimate Edition?

Unfortunately, at the time of this post, even if one had previously purchased both the base game and Phantom Liberty, there is no upgrade path (other than needlessly purchasing that edition), nor is there any retroactive marking of the Ultimate Edition as 'owned'.

However, if one already owns the base game and Phantom Liberty, purchasing the Ultimate Edition will offer no practical benefit. It is simply a bundle of the two aforementioned items.

Even if one only owns the base game, the Ultimate Edition bundle is far too expensive when compared to the price of Phantom Liberty. Therefore, by signaling that it is the 'complete' edition, it only seems to be marketed towards newcomers, leaving others dissatisfied.

This is so stupid. I am just giving feedback... I wish there was a way to upgrade as well.

But why upgrade? For what??

How many threads does there have to be on this? It has already been answered so many times.

The "Ultimate Edition" is just the base game + the expansion in a bundle. That is it. There are to my knowledge no extra bonuses or features or anything special included in the ultimate edition.
