I have a 5120x1440 screen and my rig runs CP2077 in this resolution way too poorly to consider playing. No big deal I'll set it to 2560x1440 and gain some fps. Works with every other game I've tried.

Problem is that according to my experience and some Internet lore result is 2560x1440 stretched to 5120x1440. Monitor reports that resolution has not changed. If I go from fullscreen to borderless I lose gsync and I see the desktop which is weird.

Has anyone found a solution? I know about changing my desktop resolution but that will mess up my icons.

Also how to get past bot and file a CP2077 support ticket?

Sadly i've had these kinds of issues from the time of launch... running custom 21:9 resolution on a big 16:9 screen doesn't work either, it always stretches it to fullscreen. Funny, because even 15-20 year old games work without any issues (even Witcher 3 and literally ANY other game...), i don't know what kind of modern game engine this is supposed to be. :(

It seems to be non exclusive fullscreen, some kind of borderless or whatever... if you set your windows to the desired resolution, the game should use it too. That's just annoying... *sigh*
