So, I downloaded BGI, installed Trilogy and unfinished business. Everything went along fine and dandy, except when I got to chapter eight, and supposed to see Sarevok's coronation at the palace.

There's no one in the main room. Not Sarevok, not Belt, not anyone. There are some nobles in the front room standing in a circle, there's a bunch of Flaming Fist milling about...but no Sarevok.

I don't understand it. I have all the items, did all the quests...(saved Eltan, killed the doppleganger, went into the sewers to kill Slythe and his wife, got the documents from Sarevok's bitch up top the Throne)...and I can't go forward.

Please, rescue my sanity. I didn't come this far to fail to poor programming.

EDIT: Or, failing that, if anyone can think of a way to cheat past this, that would also help.

Did you talk to Husam again after killing Slythe & Krstyn?

Did you go during normal hours (9am-7pm range; I'm not sure if going to the Palace outside of those hours might have an impact; I've never tried it but I know you can't go to Taerom's shop at non-normal hours)?

Well...no, as I don't know where Husam is.

I kind of killed everyone in the thieves guild after the Oberon heist, but that shouldn't break the game.

And yes, I tried going to the duchal palace at all hours. Still nothing,

First of all, I never played BGT and thus I don't know what scripts / variables it changes directly - so keep a backup save just in case.

Now, before entering palace use console command:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("CHAPTER","GLOBAL",7)

and try to enter and see if Sarevok + NPCs spawn correctly.

Then that particular script was altered. I had hoped someone using BGT would come back to you, but apparently we have no volunteers ;)
Tomorrow I'll do complete BGT install and have another look.

Something is definitely messed up but unfortunately I cannot find the cause :(
The only (working) workaround is to spawn all necessary NPCs in Palace via console.

- enter the palace, go to the main hall (you'll need some space)
- pause the game and execute following console commands:

CLUAConsole:SpawnCreature("NOBLPA")
CLUAConsole:SpawnCreature("NOBLPA1")
CLUAConsole:SpawnCreature("NOBLPA2")
CLUAConsole:SpawnCreature("NOBLPA3")
CLUAConsole:SpawnCreature("NOBLPA4")
CLUAConsole:SpawnCreature("NOBLPA5")
CLUAConsole:SpawnCreature("LIIA")
CLUAConsole:SpawnCreature("BELT")
CLUAConsole:SpawnCreature("SAREVO2")

- once unpaused, the scene will play as it should; kill all doppelgangers and you'll be able to present gathered evidence against Sarevok.

I hope you can find something!
'Guile'; the character you created, isn't the party leader!.

(I think its mentioned somewhere that it causes quest triggering problems and permanently dent your game, if you replace some other character in the first slot other than your main character)
