I had trouble running the installation at first, so I disabled UAC, and did "Run as Administrator" for the install, which worked fine the second time. When I try to launch the game, though, either from the "Launch" icon that pops up at the end of the installation, from the desktop shortcut,. or by browsing to the file in my hard drive and double-clicking it, nothing happens. I see an entry in the Processes tab of the Task Manager called "baldur.exe," but the game doesn't open, nor does my computer do anything strange to show that it's trying to open the file and failing. I've set the executable to run in Windows XP compatibility mode, and uninstalled and reinstalled twice, but still nothing...I'm running Windows Vista SP 2, on an HP CQ70 laptop, with a Pentium Dual-Core T4200 @ 2 GHz, and 3G of RAM...any ideas?

Have you tried reinstalling it? or tried re-downloading it + reinstalling? I had a similar problem with Gothic 2 but after re-downloading I was able to get it running.
