An excellent platform game, I played many times Shareware version. When my dad gift me the full version on Xmas, that was great. Highly recommended. I really wanted on GOG.

This game is my childhood 🥲 please GOG team bring it back. Beautiful 2D action adventure, looks like jazz Jackrabbit or more like early versions of jazz games. Bring it back and I will buy it.

One of the first games I played as a kid, still thinking fondly about it over 20 years later. It's a weird sidescrolling platformer kind of game. It has some really charming graphics and whack sound effects and enemy designs that really stick with you. More people should play this game! You can find it on various abandonware websites nowadays, but you also need to get dosbox and configure it to play, etc. I haven't played it in about a decade myself though... Would be neat if was available on GOG and "just worked" on modern operating systems!

The Xargon Trilogy, is yet another of Epic's early shareware development and publishing deals, and one of their best. Follow Malvineous Havershim as he investigates the mysterious ruins that transport him to another world, which he must traverse to defeat the evil Xargon. Playing much like the Jill of the Jungle trilogy (which is here on GOG already), Xargon is an upgrade in pretty much every way, graphics, music and sound. I picked up the floppy disk shareware version in a blister pack from an office supply store when i was young and was captivated by the strange creatures and bizzare worlds it sent me through, clambering through caves, forests, swamps and robotic facilities in a quest to destroy the first of Xargon's reactors. Being a shareware of that era, it would preview the last two episodes and i would see the curious creatures and strange landscapes i could not reach without the full edition which left me wanting more. It was not until many years later that I finally got my hands on the full game and got to see Malvineous' journey to it's conclusion, destroying all of Xargon's reactors and defeating Xargon himself, finally freeing Malvineous from this strange world. It is definitely a solid and enjoyable experience all the way through and a game i look back on fondly, alongside many of the gaming gems produced during the golden age of shareware (some of which are already available on GOG - Jill of the Jungle, Bio Menace, Monster Bash, Crystal Caves, Secret Agent, Blake Stone etc.) I still play it fairly often through good 'ol DOSBox and having played Epic's entire shareware back catalaog i can safely say that this is one of Epic's MS-DOS shareware classics and really should have been tracked down to fill out Epic's missing back catalogue on GOG long ago.
Loved this game as a kid and would play through all three episodes for the sheer enjoyment of it. However, a step would need to be taken for episode 3's final level, as without the map that came with the instruction booklet, death awaits any player who doesn't get lucky and find the right door. Which is not a good thing given this game has a count of extra lives.
I played this as a child but only ever had the opportunity to play it on the rare occasions that I spent the day at my dad's business, having access to the games he installed for us to play on his work computer. It scared the crap out of me as a kid but I eventually managed to beat the shareware version of the game. The strange world and memorable sound effects still live rent-free in my head over 30 years later. It would be an incredible trip down memory lane to play this once again and finally complete the entire experience. I'm aware that the game can be tracked down as abandonware, but I support the idea of older titles being preserved and just functioning straight out of the box without having to jump through hoops. Plus, having it for sale might help more people discover this fascinatingly bizarre mid-90s PC title.
