I was quite sad when The Suffering series gotten delisted. I partly felt they might get remastered. Which kinda would make sense for the delisting. These were essentially Silent Hill games set in Maryland. The Suffering was a horror game people still remembers from it's era. I actually had this game on PS2 a long time ago. This truly deserved to stay on GOG. There's a few endings you can go for. Some impressive creature designs as well. It was mind blowing the stuff they allowed in this. Maybe also due to the fact Midway Games was on the verge going under. Somehow The Suffering turned out as great it was.

The Suffering - an AWESOME Game with a capital letter! One of my favorite survival/horror games of all time! It comes with the original story (I do not know a single other game with such a cool plot); a lot of guns and munitions that not only work differently but also feel completely different and that is a cool feature; sound design is also - a strong part of the game (of course when it work; sometimes it bug out because of a lack of optimizations for modern OSs); enemies are different and scary most of the time. All I mentioned before is pure "fun" and when I say "fun" (in this case) I mean pure EVIL in its way. Absolutely gorgeous game, but because of its age, The Suffering is not great for modern Hardware and Software (OSs). That is why a Remake/Remaster - is much needed nowadays, so gamers can play their favorite Horror game on modern PCs.

Grade A game from a Grade A publisher that was dying. Could you bring it back as soon as possible? As the name of the game suggests I am suffering here and I need to play this again soon!

Seeing this and its sequel get de-listed from the store last year was heartbreaking. Sure, I bought my copies, but what about the people who are just now discovering this franchise and the brutal third-person action horror it offered? Fingers crossed that Warner figures out there's still a market for this game, and brings it back, either in its original form or a remastered version.

I have played this game when I was kid, but unfortunately I couldn't complete it back then because of how scary it was. It is a pity it's not available nowadays. Plays a lot on nostalgic feeling to me.

Spacewar!
Spacewar!Spacewar! is one of the earliest digital computer video games. It is a two-player game, with each player taking control of a starship and attempting to destroy the other. A star in the center of the screen pulls on both ships and requires maneuvering to avoid falling into it. In 1971 it was unofficially ported into a coin-operated PDP-11 machine and renamed Galaxy Game. As an arcade machine it was installed at the Tresidder Union at Stanford University in September, 1971, two months before the official release of Computer Space, the first mass-produced video game. Only one unit was built initially, although the game later included several consoles allowing users to play against each other.

Gauntlet III: The Final Quest
Gauntlet III: The Final QuestGauntlet III is an action-based dungeon exploration game. Like in the predecessors you empty areas infested by all kinds of enemies while running for the exit. Like this was rather a straight forward thing in the first two games, it's not that easy to finish a level anymore. While you only had to run until you find the exit (and besides killing hordes of enemies you probably find some keys to unlock doors leading to deeper dungeons) you might have to solve a few "quests" to proceed to the next level in this installment. These "quests" are very basic, for example you have to find object A, then bring it to B, advance to C and finally go to D to uncover the exit. While the first two games had a top-down view, Gauntlet 3 has an isometric perspective. The old four characters (warrior, wizard, elf and valkyrie) are ready for action again and this time they get backup by four new characters which include the Lizard, Neptune, Stoneman and the Iceman.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Kellar tells most of the story in first-person at an interrogation four days after the events in the story begin. The unknown interrogator (portrayed by Paul Pape) questions Kellar about an arms smuggling and terrorist operation called the Seventh Wave. Seventh Wave have been responsible for a number of terrorist attacks.
