The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998)

Genres:Role-playing (RPG), Adventure
Themes:Open world, Action, Fantasy, Sandbox
Game modes:Single player
Story:The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the fifth main installment of The Legend of Zelda series and the first to be released for the Nintendo 64. It was one of the most highly anticipated games of its age, and is listed among the greatest video games ever created by numerous websites and magazines. The gameplay of Ocarina of Time was revolutionary for its time, it has arguably made more of an impact on later games in the series than any of its predecessors even though they had the same cores of exploration, dungeons, puzzles and item usage. Among the gameplay mechanics, one of the most noteworthy is the time-traveling system. The game begins with the player controlling the child Link, but later on an adult Link becomes a playable character as well and each of them has certain unique abilities. Ocarina of Time also introduces the use of music to solve puzzles: as new songs are learned, they can be used to solve puzzles, gain access to new areas and warp to different locations. Dungeon exploration is somewhat more puzzle-oriented than in earlier games but they are not too complex.Show more

"Zelda is more than just a game; it's a world I love to explore. The stories, the characters, the music, everything is just magical. It's the best game series ever created, hands down!"
Favorite game of all time! Would love to see this on PC but those sneaky Nintendo Ninjas make this just a simple "in theory" vote! Will never happen but a man can dream!

One of my two favorite titles from The Legend Of Zelda franchise, my brother played this game on the N64 when it came out back in the late 90s. I would have my chance to try it out when my family got our first Nintendo Gamecube which came with the promotional disk that had this game as well as Majora's Mask on it. It's a classic and probably one of the most well-known titles of the franchise.

This one is just a no brainer you GOTTA preserve this one. It's one of the top 10 games of all time ever made agreed upon by pretty much every gaming magazine and media publisher. If you can get Nintendo to actually give the okay on it, DO IIIIIIIIIIIIT!

This game smells of summer and laughs. I don't often voice my opinion on boards like this, but I felt the need for this one. This game is special. I have so many fond memories playing with friends and family. If we could bring this and more Nintendo titles to GoG, I would be over the moon.

I consider this my favorite Zelda game of the whole series. Surprised to see Nintendo games on this list, but some more that others should still be preserved for the future. Can't really add much that many already know, but it is one of THE best games out there and still holds up. As for my favorite girl, it would be Ruto. Like many others, I would love to see an actually remake of the game. Maybe expand the world and dungeons and maybe the story and characters more. I would love if they put some dating simulation to the game so you can date AND maybe go on the adventure with the different girls, of course Ruto would be my first choice. This would bring a TON of replay value and change the plot to the game and the endings.
This had the most memorable sound tracks, and there was such an exciting sense of adventure playing this! The best part was there was less play throughs to watch if any and i didn't even know cheat sheets wear a thing in games lol I just played and explored in the world and that was awesome!
Those games also need your vote!

Lost Odyssey
Lost OdysseyLost Odyssey is set in a world in which a "Magic-Industrial Revolution" is taking place. While magic energy existed in all living creatures beforehand, it suddenly became far more powerful thirty years before the beginning of the game. Because of this, it has affected society greatly, with devices called "Magic Engines" harnessing this power for lighting, automobiles, communication, and robots, among other uses. While previously only a select few could wield magic, many magicians gained the ability. However, such progress has also caused two nations to develop new and more powerful weapons of mass destruction. The kingdom of Gohtza and the Republic of Uhra (which recently converted from a monarchy). Uhra is building Grand Staff, a gigantic magic engine, while the heavily industrialized Gohtza actively pursues magic research of their own. A third nation, the Free Ocean State of Numara, remains isolated and neutral, though it is falling into disarray due to a general attempting to stage a coup d'etat. Uhra, at war with Khent, a nation of beastmen, sends its forces to the Highlands of Wohl for a decisive battle at the start of the game.
