I have wasted hours upon hours of this game back in the days.
One thing that bugged my, was that qualifying timer ran at twice the speed, so I would always start dead-last. Not that it mattered because either I would winning, or at the very least win the class/group that I was driving.
Running commentary was a great feature and it made you feel like part of an actual race.
