Terranigma is among the most outstanding SNES titles of all time. What impresses me the most about it is that it was clearly built on a thematic bedrock. Every decision made by the developers stemmed from an unmistakable central vision, which is mirrored and strengthened everywhere. Every detail feels lovingly handcrafted, and all of it is created in service to that foundational motif, that bedrock that grounds every aspect of the game into just the most beautiful message on Earth. That said, articulating what this game is really about is really difficult. The developers used the term "duality" to describe it, but I honestly feel like it goes so much deeper than that. This game sets out to help the player understand the beauty and sanctity of life and enables you to gain an appreciation for your own unique life experiences. It does this from the perspective of the planet itself, giving an absolutely unique view of humanity for this era of gaming. Terranigma communicates its message through a feeling, through abstraction that speaks to the emotions rather than the intellect. It does this through quiet and subtle means—things like the consequence of player choices and well-constructed symbolism that contains incredible depth. Terranigma's soul exists in the feeling generated by these contemplative moments and the lovely soundtrack that accompanies them. This game makes me laugh, it gives me rushes of nostalgia for the time of my childhood, it's exciting and fun to play—very well designed—but it also makes me tear up when the credits roll, generating a deep sense of sadness and finality that are difficult to shake. It's a game that leaves a lasting impression and stands as one of my favorites of all time. While there may not be many who have recognized the efforts of the brilliant developers at Quintet, I want to give them my recognition now, and thank them for such a remarkably crafted work of art. If you haven't played Terranigma, I could not recommend it more.

The first rpg I played, I remember being lost in history and researching just because some mentions, years ago my brother played a lot of final fantasy and tried to teach me but couldn't love the style, but the action and amazing story telling of this game captured my attention over all others, even playing and looking for more after finishing it the first time.
Terranigma is one of the most philosophically deep games you’ll find at the time on SNES, before Xenogears and what not. It is a very special experience like no other with incredibly smooth gameplay, amazing music, and a very engaging story. I’m someone who thought the mana series was the best action rpg offerings on the SNES but I was proved incredibly wrong after Terranigma. It easily became my top SNES game of all time with no rival.
Since its release, I've considered it one of the best action RPGs alongside Kingdom Hearts. I play through it over and over again. This game should definitely not be missed!

This is was THE high peak of the old game generation. An RPG where you become the creator of planet Earth and learn the consequences of progress. This game still baffles me with their emotional scenes and symbolic characters. And it has still the light weight 90s vibes. That is the definition of a good old game.

It has some flaws but still one of the most ambitious and darkest action RPGs of its era. Despite the cutesy artstyle it tackles some serious topics like personal regret, the toll of human development on fauna and flora, even being driven to cannibalsim to survive... Could use a new, more polished translation though.
Terranigma is one of the most profound stories ever told in video game history. Despite the technical limitations of the SNES it was able to trigger profound emotions only few games were able to do. In my over 30 years of gaming, Terranigma stand as one of the defining games of my childhood and life overall. I really hope more people can experience the story of Terranigma revolving around the meaning of life and death, good and bad, duty and playfulness.
The best “Link to the Past Zelda-like” that outdid Zelda in almost every way. A unique story, expanded combat moves, massive world and puzzles. It’s a game that doesn’t hold your hand every step and treats the player with respect. Such an underrated game!

A PC-Port for my all time favorite SNES Game would be a Dream come true. I've loved that Game so much that i've played it up and down and always 100% because i've also had the Guidebook. Pity and sad that my old SNES and maybe my old Module are not working well anymore. I can still play it via Emulation ( thanks for it ), but i really would like to play it legally again on my PC. And no i dont wanna use this monthly paying Nintendo Direct Garbage for the Switch. I am a Guy who wants to pay once for a Game and keep it without following Costs. So like i've said it would be awesome if a PC-Port could be possible.
Those games also need your vote!
The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age
The Lord of the Rings: The Third AgeThe Lord of the Rings:The Third Age introduces entirely new characters which aren't mentioned in the books or movies. The game does relate to the movies by including scenes from all three movies, with new background speech by Ian McKellen (Gandalf). There are seven playable characters in the game which have been created specifically for it, as well a small appearances by characters such as Gandalf, Aragorn, Eowyn, Faramir, and Gothmog. The game covers events in all three movies/books, mostly with references to major events shown through cut scenes, or the scenes from the movies with Ian McKellan's narration. A classic RPG game, The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age has gameplay elements similar to Final Fantasy, where you have a party of characters, each with a different set of skills and attributes, who gain levels, making them stronger as the game progresses. Battles are turn-based, and let the gamer make different decisions on what they want to do to change the outcome of the battle. The game travels through many areas throughout Tolkien's Middle Earth, including The Pelennor Fields and Moria.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica
Resident Evil Code: VeronicaResident Evil Code: Veronica is the fourth video game in Capcom's Resident Evil survival horror series. The game continues the survival horror gameplay of its predecessors: the protagonist explores the surroundings, fighting monsters and solving puzzles. However, it is the first game in the series to do away with pre-rendered backgrounds using a fully polygonal 3D engine instead, which allows for features such as real-time lighting and camera movement. Still, such movements are only used sparingly, and the use of perspective is mostly unchanged from earlier installments: the camera automatically switches to different static angles showing protagonists, monsters and rooms from different spooky viewpoints.

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008. The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, alignment based spells, items, armour, towns, buildings, and expressions, as well as the ability to give children objects. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who played only minor roles in the original game, are now given more importance and are included in certain main and side quests. Other character-based augmentations include the voice of the antagonist, Jack of Blades, sounding deeper, harsher and more demonic, and the ability to uncover (and resolve) the murder mystery of Lady Grey's sister. The updated edition of the game also applied fixes for certain glitches, such as the "dig glitch," in which the protagonist would move backward each time he used the shovel, pushing him through solid objects and sometimes trapping him.
