MASQ is (effectively) an interactive soap-opera. The style is minimalistic, and the plot is definitely B-tier, but unlike many games that pretend to give you consequences, this one actually delivers. There are entire scenes and storylines you can miss out on, as well as various ways to cross between them depending on your choices and actions. It uses a timed system for your choices (making your character silent if you pick nothing in dialogues), and again it easily surpasses games like The Walking Dead when it comes to interactivity. It's a more reactive visual novel, I guess you could say. It has some adult content, which might bother some, but it isn't a huge part of the game. It's honestly an interesting experiment, despite the various limitations it has, and I have a soft spot for both its flaws and its ambitious branching paths.
