I really want to play this game. When it comes out on GOG I'll buy it straight away. I won't play the remake until I've played the original. Please please please bring back the OG Silent Hill 2
It was the first game in the Silent Hill series I ever played, grabbing a cheap copy of the PS2 version from my local pawn shop when I was in high school. It remains as one of my favorite survival horror games of all time and one of my favorite comfort games to return to for an afternoon when I don't feel like doing too much. The music, characters, atmosphere, even the sometimes cheesy voice acting, all act as part of the experience. It's the first survival horror game I was able to convince my best friend to play, and we still love revisiting this gem on occasion when we play games together.
One of the best survival horror games out there and now eminently playable on PC thanks to the tireless work of fans, it's incredible and saddening that there is no legal way to access the original PC version digitally, which makes this a perfect get for GOG's catalog and a great companion for Silent Hill 4: The Room. Truthfully, while the remake is amazing, it's not the original game. To this day, discovering how this game tastefully handled dark subject matters in 2001 shaped the way I think about art and helped me approached novels and movies that were formative to me, up to this day. It's not a joke when I say that Silent Hill 2 helped me acquaint myself and enter the right frame of mind to watch David Lynch's work (rest in peace).
Silent Hill 2 is my favorite Horror game of all time. It would be great to have the original classic available on as many systems as possible and I hope this will be the big start.

Just put the game like in the SecuROM 3 CD US release and let the Enhanced Edition patch do the rest. Or better yet, INCLUDE IT! Played this 6 times on PS2 just to get several endings and later 4 times on PC with the Enhanced Edition. Installing through CD is a damn mess. But hopefully, when it's on GOG, it's just gonna be a single-click and done.
Silent Hill has been an immensely important title to me from all the way back when i would look at my the cover art of the ps2 copy my mom had long before i would ever get to play it myself. With the resurgence of the franchise it’s a shame that the original games are abandoned to old hardware with skyrocketing prices. The memories of playing through and hearing the beautifully macabre music and the world class storytelling on full display. I will never forget my first time playing SH2 and i hope to make many more new memories with it on gog. :)

I got a lot of memories including Silent Hill HD Collection. Silent Hill 2 is still among the scariest games I ever played. To me the perfect Silent Hill game. You really couldn't ask for more. Rememberable characters while exploring more of the town. Some of the most iconic monsters especially Pyramid Head. I felt it's the second best SH with soundtrack alone behind SH3. They put a surprising level of depth. You got plenty of reasons to replay the game. It's sad only Silent Hill HD Collection available. Sure there's not a great PC port. Thankfully there's a famous mod that greatly improved that port. I strongly felt GOG could sell the hell out of this game.
I am completely unable to run last year’s remake of this game on my laptop, but I would still love to see what it is about this game that has made it a timeless classic for so many fans. I also want to see why the original release is so beloved in order to compare with Bloober Team’s interpretation and know why people love this version of the game.

Yakuza: Dead Souls
Yakuza: Dead SoulsYakuza: Dead Souls is an action-adventure/survival horror video game, developed and published by Sega exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The game is the sixth installment in the Yakuza series. The game's concept and keyword is "destruction"; a promotional image for the game showed the series' main locale, Kamurocho, in ruins. Leaked scans of the Famitsu issue released on September 16, the first day of the 2010 Tokyo Game Show, revealed that the game would be set during a zombie outbreak in Kamurocho and reportedly after the events of Yakuza 4.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the PatriotsMetal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the final canonical Metal Gear game to feature Solid Snake as the main character. The gameplay of the previous games have been kept along with some new features, such as the ability to roll on your back and also to hide in bins scattered around the environment. Most of the story and the relationship between the characters are explained through cut-scenes with a considerable length, so knowledge of the prior games is recommended to fully understand the story. The game also features a complex multiplayer mode entitled Metal Gear Online with some original missions based on the stealth aspects of the single-player games.
