Next to OoT it was my first rpg (especially my first turn based rpg) before I played wild arms and rhapsody, I would love to play it again but I no longer own a super nintendo and I have no idea if I even still have my copy of the game. This is a game I never expected to see playable outside of pure luck of getting your hands on both of those things, would really love to play it again. The soundtrack is something I feel so nostalgic for, and I loved the intro to the game and the town by the sea Will grew up in.

dude! i kept playing this game until i beaten it on super nintendo back in the day! it was so frustrating to try to find a save spot in the game and always had to leave my super nintendo on while i was gone back then! the game had such a fantastic story with a twist that i never expected in a game! the combat is the same feel like secret of mana but different in its own way. would definitely buy it and add it to my long lists of video game collections that i still need. keep bringing in the classics! i love it!
An legend in its own time. Illusion of Gaia was one of my very first RPGs I've played, the story of Will and Kara's growth from naive young kids to caring mature individuals who were willing to sacrifice everything for earth, holds a testament to old school story telling, that most modern games today don't have. So restoring this classic for a more modern audience, just might bring back a little hope back to this world.

One of the first games I ever played, the thing I claim made me love history and to this day one of my favorite games ever. How many of you actually A) got ALL the red jewels, and B) waited in line in Euro? ...to this day if I see a line in front of a store in a game i assume the same gimmik and will wait 10 minutes to be proven false T_T I also love all the music and listen to them regularly - with a certain one being my perfect cure for insomnia.

Unlike most roguelikes, it has no goal: the player is free to explore the procedurally generated map, clear areas of monsters, work with NPCs, and build shelters and vehicles. The gameplay is mainly based on day-to-day survival, and the game tracks parameters like hunger, thirst, morale, illness and temperature which the player must manage to stay alive. Like most roguelikes Cataclysm: DDA follows turn based gameplay. The world has support for seasons and dynamic weather conditions and the season lengths can be modified during world generation. A typical world has cities, towns, rivers, forests, bridges and other landmarks. Cities and towns generally have all the common establishments generally found in real world such as houses, departmental stores, malls, parking lots, swimming pools, hospitals, malls, etc. Exotic locations such as Science Labs, Military installations, missile silos can be found in remote places throughout the whole world. Latest versions have support for experimental 3-D buildings.
