This game is already on GOG, so why do you add it here? It does not make any sense. This should be a community wishlist for unrealeased/unavailable titles.
But it is a good one, way better than DXMD
Don't let Steam fool you; the "director's cut" of this game, the most accessible way to obtain it, is pretty terrible and is an overall worse port with multiple downgrades. I was thankful to get a copy in my steam library and i have never forgotten its amazing protagonist and great mechanics that modernize Deus Ex in a tasteful way. The original port deserves to be preserved in all its golden filter goodness.
The original Deus Ex was my first introduction to PC gaming. I remember being fascinated by the cover, the music, and the aesthetic as a six-year-old when it first released in 2000. I never really knew how to play properly and spent hours upon hours running around Liberty Island. When I got older, I understood the mechanics and was hooked. It’s no exaggeration to say I’ve played Deus Ex at least 50 times in the last 25 years.
Human Revolution introduced a whole new generation to the Deus Ex formula. Although it is slightly more linear due to console limitations, it remained faithful to the original while advancing the gameplay. A phenomenal game in its own right that has aged incredibly well, any fan of RPGs and immersive sims should play it. It’s a shame that Mankind Divided couldn’t come close to Deus Ex or Human Revolution.
The Director's Cut incorporates The Missing Link DLC into the game and changes the color palette. I think both of these additions should be optional, so I’d prefer to have the vanilla Human Revolution for a better aesthetic and style.
Some people could think that this is a duplicate, but the original release had a different colour palette and different light distribution. I don't know whether I would pay full price of it, but I would definitely like to own it.
It's important to understand though that the original version obviously lacks the added content. (duh)
Deception IV: The Nightmare PrincessThe Nightmare Princess introduces the new character Valgyrie, who is able to set traps as well as directly attack enemies by kicking. The player can deal damage to an enemy by stomping on them after they have fallen to the ground, or kick them into traps.
Modes
The main feature of the game is called the Quest Mode, which features 100 new quests to complete. In it, the player plays as Valgyrie, and is able to obtain new traps and abilities.
The game will also include an option titled Deception Studio, which allows players to create their own characters, enemies, and missions. Parts for Deception Studio can be acquired by playing Quest Mode.Action Horror
Deception IV: Blood TiesDeception IV: Blood Ties follows the story of Laegrinna, an animated fragment of an imprisoned Devil's soul, as she battles her enemies by mischievously luring them into strategically placed traps. From rolling boulders and spiked walls to spring boards, iron maidens, human cannons, falling bathtubs and banana peels, the player can choose from a multitude of dramatic, sadistic, and comical traps in order to finish off an enemy.
However, simply setting traps is not enough, as they need to be activated in turn. Timing also plays an important role, as an untimely activation could result in Laegrinna falling into her own trap or allowing her rivals to catch her. Depending on the manner in which an enemy is killed or captured, the Devil's three servants - Veruza, Caelea and Lilia (each representing a different aspect of cruelty: Sadistic Torment, Elaborate Death and Humiliating Demise) - reward points and upgraded traps.Action Horror
Deception III: Dark DelusionTaken against her will to Alendar Kingdom, Layna who becomes your challenge is now under the control of the evil King Frederick. As her life wears thin, it becomes your sole mission to ensure Layna saves herself as King Frederick's mysterious organization attempts to bring Layna to her final doom. Through preparation of strategic trap setting you begin to plot and devise various techniques to destroy those who hold you captive.
