Story:Dante's Inferno is an epic single player, third-person action adventure game inspired by "Inferno", part one of Dante Alighieri's classic Italian poem, "The Divine Comedy." Featuring nonstop action rendered at 60 frames-per-second, signature and upgradable weapons, attack combos and mana-fueled spells and the choice of punishing or absolving the souls of defeated enemies, it is a classic Medieval tale of the eternal conflict with sin and the resulting horrors of hell, adapted for a new generation and a new medium.Show more

I never got to play this game and it always bothered me, because this looks so damn gooood. The whole setting and the vibe. This would be an instant buy for me.

This dark and stylish "God of War" clone was developed by Visceral Games, the team behind the "Dead Space" games. Based on the ancient medieval italian poem, the game's cinematic visuals are striking. While "Dante's Inferno" is a hack 'n slash game with light puzzles and platforming, it has hellish and outlandish environments out of a horror game. It also has flashy combat that is fast and fluid. While not on the level of "Dead Space", "Dante's Inferno" should please hack 'n slash and beat 'em all fans. It deserves to be included and preserved by GOG in their digital storefront.

Fighting and killing the grim reaper with his own reaper was a satisfying boss fight. I play this at my mate's system. So I did not get to finish the rest of the game.

I'm honestly shocked that this game didn't make it huge. The movie and game are both incredible. It's just such an epic character who fights through hell in a fantastic game. I have it on PS3, and would be floored if I could play it on GOG.
The setting, the themes, the sound, the combat. Seriously, what's not to love about this one? God of War did dominant the market, but this really went a long way.
The dream that it would be if i ever see this game on PC. Hours and hours of playing this gem, motivated me to read The Divine Comedy to know more about the nine circles of Hell. All that there is about this game is stupendous, even that it's known as a God Of War clone, it has it's own image and presence, fuelled by outstanding levels marked by personality of each circle and unique bosses corrupted by each sin, solid combat mechanics, a decent soundtrack and a very compelling, grim and sad story. Brings back too many good times playing and talking about it with some friends back in the day. I just hope to see and play it again, perhaps in some near future...
This game was the game that made me fall in love with gaming. I wasn't aware this was a GOW clone and that made me love it even more, the art direction and the bonkers story has a particular camp to it that is just absent from today's gaming landscape. I was never able to collect the 30 silver coins from Judas, having it back would mean a lot to me.

Dante’s Inferno. It’s a God of War clone, but I found its setting and story more interesting. The upgrade system feels so much better than God of War’s; I can tell attacks become stronger as I level up, and the enemy has more personality and variety. This is the studio that made Dead Space 2 and 3, so I thought I’d check it out. I’m glad I did, as it’s pretty damn good. Maybe a little too carbon-copy of God of War’s gameplay—come on, guys, at least make cutscenes skippable! Do something to make it feel less like a reskin! All things considered, I think it did GoW better than GoW did GoW. It really did feel like I was progressing. Hell is a much more believable place for this impossible architecture full of tricks and traps than the temple in GoW, and the reason for the slaughter is far more engaging. Things just make more sense. Dante is so much more interesting than Kratos. Dante made mistakes and doesn’t want someone else to suffer for them. Kratos...? I don’t recall anything interesting about his origin. Dante absolves for past sins and to save his wife from the depths of hell using Death’s scythe to aid him as he descends through the 9 levels of Inferno. It’s grotesque and amazing. It hasn’t been re-released since its PS3 debut. It deserves a re-release.

I really miss this game, it was gritty, dark and had awesome gameplay! the soundtrack was really nice and it was very videogame-y but it has something a lot of games these days are missing; it had character, it had soul and actual substance. Dante's Inferno needs to come back !
Playing this game was really amazing, as an atheist and artist that loves the twisted artistry and mythos of catholicism and christianity. Seeing this on Dreamlist floods me with memories of the shock and awe I had when first playing the game, as well as a variety of other emotions that ultimately gifted me that sweet dopamine I endlessly crave. Its artistry and power fantasy was brilliant, and it'd be so fun to replay this epic game again, especially since this era of games is getting a resurgence (thanks, Captain Blood!)

The player must regularly enter an inventory screen to check Harry's health, use items, and equip different weapons.

Legacy of the Ancients
Legacy of the Ancients"The player takes on the role of a young shepherd who finds and loots a recently dead body while on a first trip to the city, taking a black disk, a bracelet, and a leather scroll. The Galactic Museum mysteriously appears to the player after collecting these items. The player learns that by taking these items, he has become the next in a line of adventurers attempting to destroy the Wizard's Compendium, the leather scroll the player picked up. The museum has various display cases that require the insertion of special coins of various types to access. Some coins can be bought in random encounters with NPCs, some can be found as loot after combat, and some coins can only be found at the bottom level of various dungeons, meaning the player cannot proceed beyond a certain point until that dungeon is finished. Unlike many RPGs, the game does not use an experience point system. The player gains levels only through the successful completion of various quests. The game is mostly in top-down style for the world maps, towns, and castles, but switches to a 3D style in the dungeons and in the museum. Several different areas of the game, like games in towns and certain museum displays, allow the character to play in special mini-games, which, if done successfully, will permanently increase attributes. Also, various casinos about the towns let players gamble to win money. It is also possible to rob banks in cities, but this attracts the attention of the town guards, who will remember the robbery until the player enters another town."
