Although this game is not well liked due to it's heavy focus on vehicle gameplay and lack of platforming. It is still a game from my childhood. I remember spending more hours in mumbos motors trying all kinds of part combinations to create everything from motorcycles to fighter jets than I did actually playing the levels. I spent so much time in the test o track just playing around with all the different vehicles I had made. I've been wanting to see a PC release of this game for many years due to the fact that I moved away from consoles over 10 years ago at this point. But unfortunately there has been no such release in the 18 years since this games release to Xbox. Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie aren't so much of a problem because they can be easily emulated. But no matter how hard I try I can not get nuts and bolts to emulate on my PC. So a GOG release of this game would help me re-experience a game from my childhood.
Let's get to the elephant in the room here. Yes this is a vastly different game from the first two Banjo-Kazooie games. Yes this is the third in a trilogy of games despite that. It's a weird follow up to Banjo-Tooie that removed most abilities from the first two games. There's platforming to a degree just not as great in comparison. Even the magic users are reduced what they do for you in the game. I know all of that may come off as a huge red flag. Well I'm here to tell ya this game actually quite amazing!!! This is more of an unique vehicle game. You gotta get creative to complete the challenges. In a sense this is more of a spiritual successor to Blast Corps. The worlds are much larger than those of Banjo-Tooie's. A lot of familiar characters returns as well. The bosses aren't that great I'll be honest about that. There's plenty to do within each world. Even the hub world itself is filled with a lot of stuff as well. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts also had DLC adding a location with it's own content. I know some people might get turn off by Banjo's appearance. I'm glad Kazooie actually looks more femine from the previous entries. Some could argue this felt more like a weird spin off than a main entry. In a way it's borderline on both to a degree. Grunty comes back even lesser than expected from Banjo-Tooie. If you are willing to give this a chance. Also don't go in with the same expectations of the first two games. I do believe you may absolutely enjoy this Banjo-Kazooie game. This is among their finest Xbox 360 games as well. They even completed a feature they couldn't pull off originally on Nintendo 64. Now that feature been completed including this into the mix. I felt it's a good representation of Rare's early Microsoft years.

There was a lot of rage when this was released as people just wanted another B&K platformer. But this was different, this was ahead of it's time, and I absolutely loved it. It was 10 years before we saw another game like it, but the modern versions of this vehicular style game just don't have the charm of B&K. Unfortunately this is stuck in purgatory of being an Xbox 360 exclusive and never having a proper PC release.

This was one of the first games I played on my xbox 360, and also one of the first games I exploited bugs out of, even if I didn't know it. I really just want to be able to play this game again on my PC without. Sadly my XBOX 360 died a while ago. I can't put into words how many memories and playtime I put into this game. Even though the system has it's limits I never felt limited and I just loved creating machines over and over with the resources I had available to me in the garage. I just wish I could play this game one more time before I died.
