As a teenager I was heavily into Arthurian legends especially the search for the holy grail. I first played a demo of this way back in 1996 as a young teen, I was captivated by the graphics, the atmosphere and the music. I had to wait a year to find a copy of this as living in Wales in the middle of the countryside where the nearest town was an hour long bus ride, I replayed this demo on and off for weeks wondering what the rest of this game would be like. When they had this game finally in stock I was NOT disappointed, this is a great adventure game for all who love caves, creatures, puzzles and great music.
I remember playing this game in my childhood on my grandad’s PC. I don’t know how I came across it, but it always absolutely mystified me. I never did get far. It took a replay much, much later to really appreciate the depth and breadth of its weirdness. The voice acting and sound design are incredible, some of the rooms are still audibly lodged in my head to this day.
