Have HD Remakes include the original game as a bonus
Metro game (original version, 2010) will be the good addition to the Metro series (including Redux versions) in Gog store!
Agreed. Original games should be made available.

Actually, in many occasion I would prefer just to buy the original game and not been blackmailed and been forced to buy the new shit that I don't want in order to get the actual game that I do want. Keep them separate and have the original game available regardless of the HD and "enhanced" versions.
agreed
Yep this is current again with the new (yet to come) release of Full Throttle. I wish I could vote more often than once...
!YES!...always include original ones..pweaaaase ?...
I like the fact that some games are remade, but also, I kinda miss the originals whne only having the HD's..
This. I don't want the remastered versions of Monkey Island 1 + 2 + Day of the Tentacle (and I'm assuming the upcoming Full Throttle remaster will also lack the original version). I want the original ScummVM compatible versions that will run on almost everything - rather than just Windows.
"Most remastered games typically are published under a different company... so that leads to licensing issues. As great as a concept as that is I'm not sure of the feasibility."
As if you wouldn't need to sign contracts with multiple parties even just for a single title nowadays already.
There's a good article on how GOG hunts down the rights to games and I'd like to think while it does add another party to negotiate this here and there I absolutely think it could be worth it.
The original experience is what I truly go for, remastered version can be nice, but will always be an inferior product to my principle-wise.

@MaximeMartyr That is correct, yes. Although even the remasters sometimes make changes to the original, so I would say including the original would be that much more appropriate in that case
By the way, you are talking about remasterized versions, right? Not remakes?
I mean...you are talking about games technically modernized while keeping everything as original? Not remakes which reinvent old games?
You can join the original version along with the remasterized version and if peoples don't like the original version then they just need to play only the version that they like. That is not because peoples get both versions that they HAVE to play both versions.
I would like that GOG automatically adds original versions along with remasterized versions. ^_^
Another thing, if you're going to merge a remake and the original game that's already sold separately and people dislike that proposition... maybe don't do that.
Also I'd like to add that when I say "bonus", that can also mean something in the "included goodies" section. I just wanted to be clear in case that's used as a loophole to say "Well you can switch back and forth to the original graphics" when DOTT Remastered launchs.
Having "archive" or the original versions of fully patched games added as bonuses to any game where the original release was changed to offer gameplay altering improvements would be greatly appreciated similar to what was done with the recent System Shock 1 release.
